had the fac upgrade after 60 shots main valve gone not happy with this gun at all they changed my safety catch from metal to plastic aswell i never had any of this with my old rappid 12 .20cal im on the phone tommorow cost me 220 with the postage so they better help me sort this out im not happy at this time with daystate (read more)

Bought a ranger used it twice realized that it was under powered, sent it to daystate and havent heard a thing , that was two weeks ago, guess its shagged. Dont miss it, whish i'd never seen it, i can't say that it was very impressive in any department. Worth 300 quid more than a hw100 i dont think so, god i must have been mad. (read more)

So, after having my Daystate Air Ranger .177 for nearly 2 Months now I can say that I am pleased with it. I teamed it up with a MTC mamba light and have reecently taken a rabbit at a distance that I would have never thought capable of a sub 12 ft/lbs rifle. The rifle shoulders well and has a good shot count to a charge. It is a little on the heavy side and the fps did vary slightly but this is NOT an MCT rifle and it would be unfair to expect it to perform like one. I have owned an Air... (read more)

Accurate, powerful, and high quality describe my new Air Ranger .25 50 FPE. The best of the best. I already picked off a squirrel at 105 yards. I mounted a Hawke Sidewinder Tactical 6.5-20x42 scope with a 4" SF wheel and a Vortex scope level. I requested a darker grained stock and received a beautiful one loaded with tiger stripping. Poor build quality for the money. Bolt action stifff and feels really cheap and not very smooth. I have a HW100 which is so much better quality and more accurate also. If you want top notch high end engineering and amazing smooth action buy th HW100 and save yourself a few hundred pounds and put it towards a top set of scopes. You will not beat the HW100 on quality or price. (read more)

Well am not to happy with the gun the accuracy is good and good shot capacity. Thats the good points the bad points wen i got the gun out of the box it was brand new the magazine would not go in the gun it was to big so took it back to the shop and they sandad it down for me that was that the gun is heavy and the bolt action is not well made i own this and the hw100 the hw100 is a far better magazine system and better made and you dont have to sand the magazine down to fit in the gun i just... Overall it's not a bad step in to the 'big' boys arena. Very heavy hitter, comfortable to shoot and good accuracy. The trigger and price are the two reasons this doesn't have a higher rating in my book; for the money they should be better than they are.
Compared to a MK-II, this isn't a bad rifle, but not as accurate overall and certainly much more temperamental when it comes some pellets.

The Dystate Air Ranger is a wonderful Air Rifle. It's a PCP (Precharged). Looks fantastic and very bucth. It's so accurate and very quiet with or without the optinaly silencer. Feels so good in the shooting position allowing good accurate shots. If you can afford one, it's the best rifle out there. My only gripe is the Daystate 10 Shot Magazine is total rubbish!
Loading is a chore as it's massively hampered as the pellets don't sit flush when you load them and get damaged when the magazine...

I've now had this gun (.177) for a month and can't fault! I'm using a MTC Viper scope on this and hit every time at 50 yards. If you can afford to buy this rifle buy it! You wont be disappointed. It is a little heavy after a while but you soon get used to it. They do say on the manual that you can get 250 shots from a 400 bottle but after the pressure goes down to 100 Bar the pellets start to drop.. However you can get at least 120 shots from this which is more than enough on the field... (read more)

I have owned my Airranger for 2 years and have never been
disapointed with it , dispite it high price its worth every penny of
the £950 including scope and slip I paid for it.
I bought the .22 version with the 500 ml buddy bottle from which
I get an average of 600 shots per charge.
Its about the best engineered rifle in my collection and have not
had anything go wrong with it and with a average of 500 pellets
being put though it every month, its a very reliable and accurate

I own many high end airguns and wanted to try this new power monster. Well, it is just that, a monster. It weighs more than an U.S. Army surface to air missile launcher. I found that you can get the same distance, twice the accuracy, with no kick by buying a high end FX airgun. I shot this gun for a few days, then returned it to the dealer because I can't imagine anyone hauling this monster around. I have owned several springers but this Daystate Air Ranger surpasses them all for quality, accuracy and killing power. I have the 50 FPE model and shooting crows at 80 yards is no problem. I have owned the gun for one month and every day I shoot it, I am amazed at the accuracy and power. My brother had a problem with squirrels at his new home. I killed 43 in a three day period. Good power, reasonable acuracy but as a gun for hunting the Daystate Air Ranger does not compare to an Air Arms S410 carbine, the gun is too big especially with an external silencer. While zeroing I found some pellet group formations to be inconsistant and the cartridge does not accomodate pointed pellets very well. Where as my S410 carbine is well balanced, consistantly accurate, has a great cartridge and good actions for half the price.
Who knows maybe I just had a bad gun in a million,...

i no how you feel i just had a 30ft lb upgrade done by daystate on my air ranger fired 60 shots and it let all the air go paid 180 pound for that to happen now waiting for them to sort it im gutted i sold my rappid to get this so called great gun
