The last person hung up on me and it turned out they were the most helpful person I spoke to today. First issue – major security breach on my account which happened right after talk talk were hacked. You would assume that they would be moderately interested in looking into this, but I received absolutely no further word. Second issue – supposed data leakage. Vodafone wont give me what I am being charged for. I have complained by email, post, live chat and on the phone and in this store. They will not help me. What they did do was to lock me out of my vodafone account and send my details to strangers. When I complained they wouldn't even look into how it happened. I ended my £15/month contract at the end of it's term, after a farcical error with my upgrade. This was stressful enough in itself. In January they confirmed my cancellation by letter and took a 'final' payment of £111, with no explanation of why it was that much. Now, in March, they have taken £1,036!!!!!! For some reason payg sim was stopped. Called CS. they said my number had been removed and now unavailable and I had to get a new sim and new number. I have a little pay as you go phone that I only use for emergencies,my credit was £3.10 so I was surprised to receive a text saying I only had 21p credit left. I'm appaled with the way vodafone have dealt with me today. My son went over his data limit by 7gb and i was charged £180 for it!! That acquates to over £25 per GB!!! When questioned i was told that he was not sent a reminder text due to a system upgrade and them loosing the number on the system!! Really!? It was the worst company I have to deal with. You tell them " I need to keep my number for receiving incoming calls", and they put you on broadband contract and block all your calls. You tell them " I need to swap 2 numbers", they tell you " yeah yeah" , but in reality none of those people can do it! The worst mobile network in the world. They sold me services are that wont work. Their customer services are terrible. The instore staff are incompetent and the only thing they care about is selling contracts. Don't bother asking them to fix a problem. By phone they regularly leave customers on hold for over an hour. I regret taking out a contract with vodaphone. Their customer service is the poorest I have ever encountered and customer service team the worst trained employees I have ever had to deal with. Advisors are not bothered about fixing a problem or taking ownership. You are having the exact same problem I am having with this dire company. The inability to set up a direct debit resulted in them messing up my account to a point where they were unable to explain the charges. I rang every month. for 6 months. Due to their inability to explain charges, I stopped paying them on the basis of bread of contract. They suspended my account in November. I have submitted a complaint which to date, has been ignored. I'm intending to go to he ombudsman and if they sue me I will defend it. Good look with them!
