Vodafone can be quite good. Customer service is probably their best thing but when I cancelled my contract early I had payed the cancellation fee (around 3 months left). Then I got a huge bill from there 4 months later saying I still owe them old overdrawn bills. Nice try vodafone. Be warned unlimited data usage at home is not applied to europe. Just received 227.00 in data roaming charges, as a gesture of good will VF said they would refund 10%, which I was not happy with. I now read on watchdog and EU websites that there is a 50 Euro monthly cap on data roaming charges. Are VF contravening my human rights? I asked Vodafone to lower my price plan as I couldn't afford to pay the full amount. They all just said there is nothing they could do and told me to wait it out. Having bought a pay as you go sim for iPhone 16 days ago I still can not receive incoming calls or text messages to this phone. I have tried another phone but still the same result. I have contacted Vodafone tech services 6 times, and each time they say it will be fixed in 24 to 72 hours. I decided to go with Vodafone because they had the best deal on the iPhone 4 at the time as I really wanted one, I have only been with them for 4 months and I would never ever go with them again! Had recently bought a phone off of the Vodafone website, and I am a pay monthly customer. Before purchasing I was told I would be able to transfer my exsiting number onto the sim card coming with the handset. However this was not the case, it was a pay as you go sim card! I would highly recommend you do not buy a contract with Vodafone. Unlike of old, the customer service is now abismal, they don't seem to know left from right and unreasonable requests such as 'you need to prove this'. I would not recommend them for long term contracts like 1 yr to 2 yrs and the prices are to high between £31.70 to £33.00. It's best to go sim only or pay as you go for any reason. If any reason you can not pay for it there will be contract fee over £400 if it's 2 year contract, if you planning to cancel. The catch in the end it's that policy as been change since November 2012. so you can not downgrade your contract price or take any features offline to reduce price. (read more)

I have never received such an abmismal service from a mobile company in all my life. When I first went to Vodafone, and asked to transfer my mobile number from my previous service provider, they made such a hash of it, I didn't have a working phone for almost 3 weeks. When I asked the assistant at the canary wharf branch how good the signal is in Canary wharf I was told they've added boosters and increased capacity and coverage etc... 4 months later I (working in canary wharf) have virtually no 3G signal in one canada square. “A complete waste of money..”

I joined Vodafone in July 2011 because they had the exclusive release of the Blackberry Bold 9900 (complete pile of plop sold it a week later.. which makes matters worse). I was treated well by the staff in the shop who talked me through everyhting i needed to know, and pointed out the 3g connectivity ect.. brilliant i thought. Walked 3 steps from the shop and lost all 3G reception, odd i thought, but decided it was a new phone setup thing, a week later still no 3g, so popped back in store... (read more)

“Horrible Billing and Very Expensive”

I am a Business Customer with Vodafone moved from T-mobile after started to receive huge bill for calling Lyca/libera mobile where T-mobile charge 40p a minute. I had first bill came over £100.00 and told first bill for two months, shocking 2nd bill came for over £200.00 and I called and they told me there are some error and refunded nearly £70.00 also investigate the issue. 3rd bill came over £300.00 and 4th bill same over £300.00 as I stayed on 1200 minutes free for mobiles and 3000... “Never again”

Rude staff, can't get facts right as keep changing mind of what's going to happen. Over charging, expensive charges to ring up all the time because they have messed up. Been with them 3years and in oct took at contract out for my partner so pay £80 odd pound a month for 2 contracts yet, when I upgraded they sent me out a broken phone within 2 weeks I replaced it, rung up to check my bill and they said £200 and something pound!
