I bought my Ford Ikon 1.3 Flair (Anniversary) in 2005 and I feel that the car is good. Never had major issues except couple of visits to the Authorised Service centres on top of the regular servicing visits.
As I mentioned, reverse gear is a problem many times and AC acts funny at times. I never encountered issues while driving anywhere and the fuel economy is never a problem. (City - 11-12kmpl, Highway -- 16-19kmpl). The car is worth every pie you spend. The spares also decently priced... (read more)

Ford does advertise that the Ikon comes in for an emi of a small car but what they do not say is what goes in for maintenance.
the parts are very expensive, I had to change the oil seal gasket after 20000 kms and the gasket costs Rs. 1200 but the labour for this costs 2200 and together is costs Rs. 3500/-.
So though the initial cost of an ikon 1.3 comparable with other B segment cars, it maintenance is very way too expensive and is no way comparible. (read more)

handling : exceptional
space : plenty, one can sleep in the boot
riding comfort : exceptional
fuel consumption : 13.5kmpl in city - 18 kmpl highways
