I bought my 1.2 Twingo from Parks in Dunfermline. I have not gone a full month without the car being back in for faults. The 1st time we had rain I noticed the passenger side footwell wet. The car was back and forth to the service department several times before they found out where the water was coming from! A few of the visits to the service department they didn't do anything to the car except use my fuel to dry the carpets. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!! Faulty accelerator makes this a LETHAL MACHINE! Car continued to accelerate from 35mph to almost 60mph AFTER FOOT REMOVED FROM PEDAL. Had a narrow escape, luckily was on a straight stretch of quiet road with no other traffic. I own an 08reg twingo diamonique. I wish I hadn't bought it. From it being 3months old I had problems with the electrics which took Renault about a year to find the fault and repair. I was without my car for 2 months at one point because of it. All the warning lights came on, the digital spedo disappeared and the warning sound beeped when I tried to drive it. I drove a Renault Twingo City Car in Brazil for about a year. Initially it felt sluggish and unresponsive, but I'd been used to driving a 205 GTI. The initial low-speed acceleration was reasonable for a 1.3L engine. The car was great in the cities, very easy to park and cornered quite acceptably.
