I've had my mg zs 120+ for a year now and love it. i had a seat leon before this and had that lowered with some nice alloys that handled great but the mg is better love the sound of the engine sounds even better with a k&n. great value for money though.
i think the interior is shoddy not much to look at, seats are great keeps you put.
what i don't really like about the car is its unreliable the head gasket for instance. I've just gone an bought an uprated gasket so it wont go againn. id love to get the 180 but with insurance i kept to the 120.

Owned the MG ZS 120+ for a year now and its been brilliant. Initial choice was between a MG ZS, VX Astra, Ford Focus and Honda Civic. After test driving each one, the ZS came out tops. It outshone the others in the performance and handling departments and I preferred its sporty looks to the rather bland styling on the others. It was much better value than the others as well. The only quibble I found was the rather bland (if well built) interior that I soon brightened up with a leather wheel, aft ...- Read mattie007's review (121 words)

For £9500 with 1500 miles, the MG ZS 120+ is an excellent buy and value for a sporty/economic car - thank goodness not everyone bought one!- Read mgzs120's review (77 words)

The MG ZS 180 looks awesome, which makes my 120+ look sad in comparison. Am currently thinking of upgrading, but the problem is on a cost/benefit analysis (Shell Optimax is expensive enough in a 1.8 let alone the 2.5l V6) the 120 is great.- Read tydeides's review (57 words)

Bought my MG ZS 120+ about 6 months before MG/Rover went bust but still got it for a bargain price of £7,000. Was pretty impressed with it initially as I had moved up from a Ford Focus diesel so it seemed a big step up in the raw power stakes! The interior is not as bad as people would have you believe (I think the seats look pretty cool in black and red) and it looks way better than a Rover 45 due to its lowered suspension, nice alloys and big spoiler (go for the extreme sports spoiler li ...- Read columbopunk's review (279 words)

Have owned MG ZS + 120 since August 2002 and have no regrets. I am 6'2" so with front seats fully back there isnt a lot of room for rear passengers (either leg room or headroom). Disappointed to find space saver spare but have made false boot floor to enable full size wheel to be fitted. Would recommend car to anyone considering buying one. Has always acheived mid 30s to the gallon even with lead foot, which is a good thing as the car is so pleasurable to drive you always look for the longer rou ...- Read Gary Greenwood's review (139 words)

I just purchased a ZS 120+, "couldn't afford the 180" my previous car was a Mazda 323 diesel, so you can imagine how excited I was when I put my foot down for the first time and instead of a lifeless diesel drone, I was greeted with the perky growl of the K series. 0-60 is pretty quick it says 9 seconds on the brochure but I am sure I can do it in 8. The engine revs up to about 7000 with no trouble and the close ratio gearbox makes for a sporty driving experience. The only problem I can see is t ...- Read jabusby's review (271 words and 1 comment)

It may not have all the hi-tech features of some rivals, but when it comes to driving it, the MG ZS is more fun than any other five door hatchback I've ever driven. The car has vitually no roll around corners and cries out to be driven hard. The engine loves being revved hard and high and sounds wonderfully sporty too. You can easily forgive the dated interior when you're blasting along on a country road. And to think, it was once a Rover 45...- Read Matt Nat's review (129 words)
