Visited the car shop in cardiff, first impressions weren't too bad but oh how they changed. As soon as we decided to purchase the car costing a considerable amount of money you would think that the customer service would have been excellent, it was far from that. we were promiced a years free warranty but after paying our deposit were then told that this had never been said (despite several people hearing this and clarifying it with a manager). After a long battle (and made out to be liars) w ...

Owned a very high mileage pegeout 307 sw and put an optimistic part ex value on it,ON visiting the Carshop (Cardiff branch)i not only acheived my value for my trade in but was more than happy with price for my new car.
The transaction took a little while as they were very busy but i was given hot drinks whilst the kids played in the play area.
I will purchase from here again and recommend them

I went to visit the Carshop in Cardiff to view a couple of their second hand cars. The vehicles were pretty decent and the prices fair. You should really carefully inspect the vehicle as most are simply washed and stuck out on the forecourt with no proper inspection, but most seemed to be as described.

The worse thing about the Carshop was the salespeople. They are incredibly pushy, intrusive, aggressive and to my mind downright rude. They are incredibly forceful in getting you to put a deposi ...

These guys try to hide behind a price match guarantee as proof of offering the best possible value. The facts are that you have to find an identical model for less within 2 days for the guarantee to take effect.

The actual list prices they charge seem to be greater than main dealer prices (they were for the car we were interested in). Do your homework before you go!

It was our very first experience at The Car Shop, we have never been here before and they were very welcoming. You weren't pressurised; you tell them what cars you are looking for, what budget you want to spend. Overall , the experience was very good, they are very friendly, not pushy or anything. The cars look good. I mean I would definitely recommend it to others, definitely. Even our neighbours brought a car from The Car Shop.

The Car Shop website was very good, had about 10 pics of the car and a thing that could tell you about finance. went to have a look at a couple of cars i liked the look of and ended up putting a deposit down on one. a salesman then sorted me out a deal to get the car on finance and a week later i picked it up. had car 2 weeks now and running fine up to now

purchased a passat 1.9 tdi se about 6 weeks ago and The Car Shop said that they would get the alloys resprayed and a full tank of gas before i picked it up. this was never done and when you ask them they said that the salesman was fired for similar deals which they are not suppost to offer. beware when buying from these people. get everything in writing and prepare for a long battle to get everything you pay for. still have not recieved the fuel or respray and they siad they cant do anything abo ...

Bought the car which had a few problems which I noticed from the test drive, they said that it would be sorted when I pick the car up. Told to pick it up as late as possible on a saturday. When I picked it up there were loads of problems but they went home before I could say anything.

The car was not prepared and part of the car I HAD TO PUT BACK TOGETHER MYSELF.

I took the car back the following saturday as the car had loads of problems.

I waited 2 weeks for the car to be fixed, they hadnt ...

On arrival we were met by the salesmanwho was very helpful and showed us around the cars we were considering. After selecting one we took it for a test drive and agreed to buy. The second sales person took us through various finance and warranty packages available.

On the day of collection there was an unforeseen delay due to a broken mirror switch on the car but that was fixed whilst we waited. The customer service team were excellent and provided free coffee so the minor inconvenience was ...

I bought a 2004 Renault Megane Scenic for a very good price from the Car Shop after weeks of research on the internet. I found the web site very helpful but decided to visit the site first and check the vehicle out.

I was approached by a lady who was very helpful and not pushy at all.

The experience overall was very positive but it did take a couple of hours to complete the transaction and take the car away.

Overal though very good - thank-you Car Shop.

Boy are The Car Shop pushy, they wanted me to commit to buying the car over an internet chat, without even seeing the vehicle, ridiculous!! When i finally went to view were very pushy from the start, wanted me to buy straight away, they dont want to give you any time to think becauyse they know once you have signed, THEY'VE GOT YA! Did check the vehicle and found some faults i.e side mirror not working, door shelf hanging off (which they all did fix), even though they wanted me to sign a deal ...

I visited The Car Shop. They have a wide variety of cars which is good. But the sales people really put me off. I'm writing this review out of pure frustration.

The Car Shop is nothing but a finance broker. We went in to buy a particular car, were offered a ridiculus px for ours, (upon checking it was the auction price not list price). Claimed that when he tried to start the car it would not start, when we have never had any probs with it.

we said that we would not part x the car, before going to the shop we phoned and said what we could pay etc and how we wanted to pay, and they told us they could do any deal.

I told them i did not want HP as we chan ...

As a newbie to buying cars alone I was really happy with the service I received from the Car Shop . I'd checked out their website ahead of time to arm myself and the staff were really helpful - finding what I wanted not just a car they wanted to sell - and not even slightly pushy. It's odd that a couple of people have had a bad experience there but I guess that's true of everything. Each person's experience is unique to them but mine was great. I got a great price on an A3 and a decent PX price ...

Deposits taken will not be refunded under ANY circumstances at The Car Shop. Pushy salesmen just will not let you consider your purchase in peace. Cars not prepared as promised. Low P/X values. Zero customer service support. DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT UNLESS YOU HAVE THE CAR 100% AND READY TO GO, THE PAPERWORK CHECKED AND SEEN YOURSELF AND THE PRICE CONFIRMED.

I knew which car I wanted and it turned up at the Carshop in Swindon. I went for a test drive with the sales guy - he knew very little about the car [either the model or the history of that specific car] but was pleasant to deal with and spent about 2 hours with me. He and his controller gave me the usual "it'll be gone tomorrow" line to make me buy on the day - but I went awat to think about it. I did a second test drive the next day and decided to buy. Then I found out there was no service ...

Last week i went to The Car Shop in Swindon, and after having several terrible experiences at other local dealers, i must say i found the experience rather refreshing. I know what i wanted, i printed out the details and took them with me. They found me the car, and as i already had my finances sorted i actually drove away with it. It was brilliant. I am never going to go to a small dealer again, big car supermarkets are the way forward

I wanted to look at more than one car at The Car Shop most of these I peered through the window and all I wanted to know was their prices and mileage. After sitting down and going through their whole info collection procedure the salesman came back with ONE car, stating that he deemed that one the most suitable to my needs! He did not even ask what my needs were before! After explaining to him that I think I might know a bit better about my 'needs' and that I only want to know the prices and mil ...

I went to the Cardiff branch looking for an Audi A3 diesel. Spotted a lovely A3 which was a bargain at £9056. Agreed a deal with my car as part x which I had independently valued at £4500. Was offered £2300 part x and was also informed that the Audi actually costs £10991 and not the price displayed. What made me laugh was that there was a huge advert on the showroom wall boldly proclaiming that they offer the "best Part X prices". What they actually offer you is the estim ...
