i think the review of the opel astra 1.4 16v sport was very wrong in every way. first of all the car is a 1400cc machine so it is not going to be a fast car. i drove one and have to say the astra 1.6 is such a better car. the engine is rev happy and even in standard trim it is a much nicer and faster car. the astra 1.4 sport is for posers

The Astra 16v Sport is a very nice car. This Sport type (3 doors sedan) looks great fitted with its original 16' wheels and 205/50R16 tyres. It feels always safe even at high speed.
Very good brakes with ABS. Good performance considering the 1.4 engine limitations.
Some minor problems while in the first months but fixed in warranty time.
