    Good Points: Very reasonable hire charge which includes full damage waiver. Efficent pick upon and return system at the Airport (Tenerife Sur).


    Bad Points: Only available in the Canary Islands.


    General comments: Booked online for 2 week rental in Tenerife from 20th March to 3rd April 09. I nomally use Avis as I have shares in Avis Europe and qualify for a discount (usually about 40%) on the normal hire charge. However even with the discount the charge for renting for a medium sized car was quite high with Avis (about £320 for 2 weeks). I did some shopping around online and decided on AutoReisen after reading some favourable reviews on this website. I hired a Seat Ibiza 1.4, 5 door with aircon for £198 for the 2 week period. Although the car had been well used (about 40K on the clock) and had some signs of wear and tear, it was clean and tidy and was serviceable. AutoReisen also seem to have have a fairly relaxed attitude to bumps and scratches. After an initial inspection I pointed out a few and was told not to worry as full damage waiver was included in the hire charge. In summary I was quite satisfied with the car and would use AutoReisen again when visiting Tenerife.

    Always use Autoreisen when in the Canaries, we have always had good cars from them.
    We had a problem with one of the cars and a new one was delivered within two hours.
    Always good service.

    Cheapest that we have used and also very quick and efficient! Absolutely fantastic service at the airport, both pick up and drop off - could not fault!

    I have hired cars for over 4 years all from autoreisen, they are reliable and we have never had a problem with them at all, the staff are efficient and friendly would not hire one from any one else

    We travelled on 25th Jan 09 to Tenerife South and had hired a family size car from Autoreisen for 112 euros for a week. We were worried about extras as the car was so cheap on booking on line but as we had paid nothing on line we knew we could back out.. I was armed with print outs of the web claims but it was all plain sailing. I waited for the bags while my Husband went to collect car as it was in the same area so he was first in line, but it was all pretty quick. The car had quite alot of m ...

    We booked a baby seat for a 4 month old from Autoreisen. It could not be fitted in the car. The staff tried to convince us it was safe when I could flip it up with a light tap. They they tried to say we could put a small 4 month old in a child seat. they eventually relented and swapped our one big car for two smaller ones.

    The price, office and vehicle were all very good. The office is actually inside the airport, the car is just in front of the building, the price is so low that I was expecting a lot of extras, but it was really all inclusive. I will use them again, every time I go to the "Canarias".

    Someone recommended Autoreisen, i found that the price was cheap so i reserved on the web (no deposit, no credit card...). I arrived in Lanzarote, they have an office in the airport and service was fast. I reserved a Seat Cordoba and got a Seat Altea XL for the same price. Not a single problem, and not an additional penny; just what I was quoted in the web!

    Have used this company on several occasions and have been very impressed. On this occasion they supplied an older car, which was clean enough, but it had numerous dents and scrapes to the bodywork, but it was sufficient. However on arrival at Hotel, as I drove up a hill, there was a very strong smell of burning (the clutch was burning out).
    I Telephoned Auto Reisen the following morning and they delivered a brand new car to the Hotel (20k from Airport) within 50 minutes. Very Impressive.

    Good service, excellent vehicle condition, no problems during a week on Tenerife. Free child seats and additional driver were best selling points - no hidden extras. Nice touch to say leave fuel between 3/4 and full rather than create uncertainty about how 'Full' is 'Full'. Would definitely recommend to others and would choose again. Queue at pick up in the airport - mainly because it was so popular, and I guess all planes landing about the same time.

    Have used Autoreisen in Lanzarote on more than one occasion. Each time they have been efficient and the cars have been good. Easy collection/drop off procedure. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again

    Have hired from Autoreisen in Lanzarote for many years. Usually fairly new cars but often rattle because of poor roads. Cars not clean on collection by British standards. But in fairness Lanzarote red dust gets everywhere. Overall, great value for money. Have just booked Autoreisen again for next month.

    We use Autoreisen every time we go to Gran Canaria and it's hard to find fault. Good service and great value for money.

    Multi lingual staff helpful, pick-up and drop-off done speedily, also in explaining central locking system when I contacted them. Vehicle well maintained. Booking also speedily arranged and at short notice, i.e. night before going on holiday at a peak period, late July,2008. With all confirmations/reference numbers being received in time.

    The car was in such a state it was embarrassing. Never seen a car with so many scratches, dents, plastic trim hanging off, useless customer service and such a terrible smell inside. Never again.

    No problem on several previous hires with Autoreisen and picking up again in May 2008. Convenient on airport hire cars
    Reasonable selection and prices very fair
    Condition of cars generally good with usual few scratches etc
    No booking deposit and web response excellent on reservation

    Simple, I got the car in the office in the airport, used the car the whole week to visit all the island, and returned the car. Easy, no surprises.

    Easy to rent. No problems with the vehicle, Good price. Additional charge added for flat tyre, however I returned the car in perfect order. Beware addition charges, check credit card statements when you get home. Will not use again.

    The office is actually in the airport, it is not a person with a sign to take you somewhere else. I cannot tell much, this was my first time with them, I found it on the web, and took the risk. It was great, just sign the contract and leave. Never needed them again until I returned the car. The car was not new (about 10K miles), but in perfect conditions.
