I'm looking to buy a 2005 Nissan navara it has 138,000 miles on it the condition looks ok and the oil looks clear its £3400 is that mileage high and what should I be looking for many thanks

I've a navara tekna the problem is when I put it in 4wd at low speeds it just locks up trying to manuvor around corners is near enough in possible, took it to a nissan garage and was told that this normal as this and I quote (the nissan navara tekna is not really a 4x4) its only for driving in snow or mud at 15 mph in a straight Line.......................please help
