Good Points: Honest
Not afraid to attack the big names
General comments: Have to disagree with the previous review on this book. I read this autobiography of Simon Cowell and really enjoyed it.
For a start, I Don't Mean To Be Rude But... ain't Shakespeare, but I think everyone knows that anyway. As biographical literature goes this is pretty short, but it is still a good and easy read.
It's obviously aimed at the Pop Idol Market - big text, easy to understand, simply written - perfect for all those kiddywinks and dithering old dears that watch shows like Pop Idol.
The book is short and sweet, but it will make you laugh and his unorthodox rise to success is very interesting. There are also some good accounts regarding his relationships with other people in the business and there are some nice anecdotes about some of the big names he has worked with - or attempted to work with, ie, Eddie Murphy!
Reading this book also makes you realise just how many novelty acts and records that Cowell has masterminded - the vast majority of Cowell hits are from the world of the bizarre track - be it Mr Blobby, Teletubbies, Robson & Jerome or WWF Wrestlers!
All in all an interesting and honest read that pulls no punches - worth every penny!

This is an over rated book on the life of Simon Cowell. Really, who cares? A waste of money...should be a dollar store book....
Tells of his rise to what he calls fame...i call....American Idol made him famous....thats all.
He promises the gossip on Americain Idol...and barely delivers much dish at all.
I was disappointed......so much i wont pass it on....Mine is headed to EBAY!- Read darlinjasa's review (106 words)
