    My partner and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Prinsotel La Dorada. (We were there for 2 weeks) Prior to the holiday i checked the reviews and they all lived up to their expectations. I have to say, it was amazing! I have never seen such cleaning standards, they visited EVERY day and they are constantly cleaning the complex. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful! We over looked the lagoon style pool which is stunning. Shops, bars and restaurants are just up the road and the beach is also across the road. (Beach is absolutely gorgeous) Hotel is aimed at families with young kids but i found it was a perfect get away for a couple aswell. We self catered but ate in the buffet restaurant a few times and the food was very nice, lots of choice. I will definately be returning to this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone.

    Were just back from a two week holiday in Prinsotel La Dorada and we had a ball. Were a family with two young boys aged 4 and 2. I can honestly say the place is 100% great. The entertainment team, Me,Me in particular were fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone with a young family in particular. We went half board and definitly will be returning in the future. We truely couldn't complain about anything. Thanks to all there we had a holiday to remember forever. Louisa in Northern Ireland.

    The Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel has great pool high standard of cleanliness great place for a relaxing family holiday. The entertainment is not up to much.

    The La Dorada Hotel itself is lovely, with the pool area being rather large with lifeguards, which comes in handy when you have young children. There are quite a lot of Germans who stay at this hotel, but I think Majorca is known for that anyway. We met up with a family who had stayed all inclusive, and they were really disappointed with the food. We however had gone self catering, as we like to try different places.     The La Dorada Hotel was fantastic! The view of the pool was great, and the room was brilliant for 2 people. Playa De Muro is a small resort, but the buses run every 15 minutes in the summer season to Can Picafort, Alcudia and Port Pollensa, and for 1 Euro per person each way it was nice and cheap!! Staying in Playa De Muro encourages you to explore the other resorts, which we may not have done.

    Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel:
    The entertainment was of the highest quality and the enthusiasm and professionalism of the hotel entertainment team was only matched by their limitless energy.
    The food was of the very highest quality and although catering for a lot of people their standards never slipped.
    The general ambience of the hotel was 'classy' and welcoming with no problem too big. too small or too much trouble.

    In summary we would recommend the Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel to anyone with children as the facilities are first class. Its just a pity that there are only one or two really good restaurants (in our opinion) within walking distance but as mentioned above for 1 Euro and 15mins to Alcudia and 5 mins to Can Picafort if you want to you can find better.

    Alcudia, Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel - It was the first time we had taken the children abroad, they are 7 and 4 years old. We loved the hotel; it was very smart and well run. As I mentioned before, the food was fab and would recomend that you take the half-board option as it's well worth the money, and it's quite hard finding good food outside of the hotel, in fact the shops were quite limiting in the area and to get to a large supermarket ment a 2 mile trip into main Alcudia itself.     If your a family looking to keep your kids busy then the Prinsotel La Dorada hotel is perfect. We have two sons 12 & 10 and we hardly saw them throughout the days. The pools are great for both the kids and adults and the hotel reps provide lots of games (Water Volleyball,Football, etc) throughout the day.     We arrived at the Alcudia Prinsotel La Dorada in mid August 2003 and had a fantastic fortnight, close to the beach and many resturants as we were self catering, locals very friendly ( especially the waiter at pizzera napoli, what a great guy )so good going back next year.

    Overall we have found the Prinsotel la Dorada a great destination to have a fabulous holiday. It caters well for all age groups and children of all ages can take part in various activities if they please leading to a relaxing holiday for all.

    we stayed at this hotel for a week in June, i was 6 months pregnant and travelling with a 3 year old. My family were spoilt rotten and i feel where ever i will travel to next i will always be comparing it to the La Dorada. This is a 4*plus hotel and it is fairly graded and the hotel is good value for money. location is excellent far enough not to be able to here traffic and bustling Alcudia but close enough to walk to the resort centre

    We had booked an appartment and the meals in the hotel. Food was buffet style and good. Staff friendly, lots of families with kids there, however still quite at nite.
    When we were there (June 2003) there were about 35% of the guests Spanish, 35% British, 10% German, 10% Dutch and 10% Others.

    A great hotel, suited towards family's. With friendly and helpful staff. Apartments and pool area are kept really clean. The garden area is very attractive and well maintained. Plenty to do for all the family. Our children didn't want to leave the hotel. Beach is just 5 mins away, across main road (no noise in hotel). You would to have very high expectations to be disappointed with this hotel!

    The hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly and the facialties were great plus there reps had activities for all ages and you have a great time. The hotel was placed in a great position only 100 metres away from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops for if you didnt got and have your meals at the hotel.

    I went late deal allocation on arrival to spain, i was dredding the hotel but when i arrived at Prinsotel la Dorada i was so impressed. The staff where are so friendly and the hotel was so beautiful and clean. There was entertainment for both myself and my 7 year the restaraunt was good too, i would definately go there again.

    This holiday was the first time that my family and I had been abroad so our expectations may be different for people that go on a yearly basis, however there were 6 of us, me and my husband and our two children (10 & 3) and my sister and her boyfiend that have just returned from the Prinsotel and have had an excellent time.
    The entire staff made you feel welcome. The entertainment staff put different shows on every night which were fantastic.

    I travelled to the Prinsotel La Dorada in Alcudia, Mallorca with my family for 14 days on 22.05.02..I was extremely impressed by the facilities, accomodation, helpful staff and overall cleanliness of the hotel and grounds.
    It is very rarely that I would go to the same place twice but this hotel is definitely the exception.
    If you have a chance to visit this hotel.....GO

    I loved my one week staying at the Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel in Alcudia, Mallorca in June 2002. The employees are very kind, the hotel amenities are excellent, the breakfast is very nice, the apartments and the garden / pools are very clean and well conserved and the price is very good. I recommend this hotel to everyone that wishes to have a pleasant stay in Palma de Mallorca.

    This was the second time I went to Alcudia with my family. I was impressed at the standard of the Prinsotel La Dorada apartments as they were very clean and maids came every morning. The reps were fantastic keeping the children amused all day then at night - the entertainment was immensely enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend it.
