“AMAZING!!!”

Written on: 29/03/2012 by OldSchool82

First off im an avid hunter with big long range rifles an im always looking for a challenge. I began to notice a rodent problem around my house an needed something for the job. After buying my nitro venom i prolly bought an used over 20 different pellets. Ive used hollow points ballistic tips. Lead. Non lead. Hyper this and super that. Ive found that at 1100 fps i needed a shorter more solid hollow pt that hits hard an flies accurately up to 50-70 yrds. This is as simple a design as... (read more)

I own an air arms s410 carbine which has accounted for skipfulls of pigeon, rabbits, squirrrel, crows and many other species mainly with air arms field or crosman accupells and premiers.iv tried many well known makes of pellets in wad cutter and hollow point forms which havent been able to compete in any way with my usual ammo for either a lack of consistancy or lack of usable distance in which the pellets 'drop off' or are inaccurate at range.i shoot .177 and have always had problems with... I use the Crosman Quest 1000. These pellets seem to fit perfectly and have very tight seals. They are good for long range ( I hit a bucket over 100 yards). They hold power from leaving the muzzel instead of using all of the energy on reaching the target. They perform very well. I have killed many small birds with theses... many more than other pellets. RECOMENDED! Very Accurate, Very Powerful, Long Distance (read more)

Overall, a pretty good pellet, once sited in i hardly missed.
These are recommended for short to medium range shooting, but I've killed game at over 35 yards. (read more)

I have little to say about this product other than I have had very little luck with the Crosman hollow point pellets in the accuracy department.
In many instances, when fine tuning my scope using these pellets, every other pellet goes "wild" and strays very far from the intended target. Very bizarre.
I thought maybe I was "pulling" my shots or twisting my wrist. So I asked my buddy to try them and he had the same problem. Low accuracy, low consistency. (read more)

Sounds to be more of a shooter error. Try to loosen your grip in the stock and DO NOT anticipate recoil. Also do not grip the forearm. Find the balance of your rifle and then simply lay it on your open palm. This is known as the artillery hold as t lets the gun float freely with it's recoil. Just a suggestion. Also if you are using a scope then check your mounts. If it is a dovetail mount on the gun, consider buying a weaver adapter. Remember that a factory scope is made by the lowest bidder just to add some flare to the rifle. I shoot a Ruger AirHawk and had very similar issues until I put on a better mount and scope. It can now easily hit a squirrel or rabbit at about 55 meters.

Best Luck to you!!!

Me and my friend have had the exact same problem using these pellets in a controlled environment also both using airarms s410s , so wouldn't put it down to user error. quick change to another brand of pellets and shots back being bang on every time.

Overall the Crosman Premiere are fairly accurate pellets. Even though they are a hollow point, appon shooting them into balistics gel at point blank 10, and 30 yards with a Gamo Shadow 1000, they showed very little signs of deformation. The only deformation on the pellets was that the hollow point cavity widened a bit and grooves on the head and skirt of the pellet from the rifleing of the barrel. My only problem is that they are a little dirty and sometimes they have lead shavings in the... (read more)
