“Free wine offer - No voucher”

I took up a deal to switch energy suppliers with a free wine voucher included in the offer some 6 months ago. U switch have failed to honour this or respond to emails and phone calls. “Not interested in following up”

The website was straightforward to use to request a switch from ScottishPower (too expensive and have you tried ringing their call centre recently?). However, after the initial email in December congratulating me on my switch, I heard nothing from the new supplier or Uswitch. After 3 weeks, I emailed Uswitch asking them to confirm the switch was going forward. After a further 3 weeks, I had a reply from Uswitch confirming they had passed the information on. My experience entirely. Used Uswitch to switch to Scottish Power. Received e-mail from them confirming the switch but on hearing nothing from Scottish Power I telephoned Scottish Power who said they had no record of receiving the switch request. Phoned Uswitch who wanted my switch reference number. Did not have this as thought it would be on the switch confirmation e-mail. It wasn't. Uswitch said someone from customer services would phone me back. They didn't. Since then have received numerous e-mails from them congratulating me on my alleged savings. Had to do a new switch through another company. Switch not yet completed and do not know whose fault it is.

“no explanations”

I have been duped. Reassured that I'd be switching both gas & electricity providers and promised frozen rates for 15 months, I had an outstanding payment (£100) which was instantly made to the electricity company and 15 days later Uswitch simply informed me that the switch was being blocked. No reasons given, no personalised message or advice offered. There appears to be no means of reply to emails either. “Poor documentation and failure to respond to queries”

I used uSwitch to review my gas and electricity charges to select a better deal. Switched Gas with one supplier and Electricity with a second supplier to a fixed price dual fuel deal with the existing electricity supplier. Website was straightforward, promised huge savings, and enabled an easy selection and switch. “Far too pushy!”

After getting a horrible shock from my energy supplier (Southern Electric) I decided that I had to switch. The obvious choice was BBC favourite U-Switch, so after trying their confusing website I thought I'd give them a call. How disappointed I was. “Really good service”

My energy supplier, npower, mentioned in a call about something else that they were about to increase my energy bill on their standard rate 30%! Even though I was expecting a rise in line with the announced 8-10% this winter, I had definitely not been informed of this increase. 30 PER CENT INCREASE, you read that right. “No Fear of turning up heat this Winter”

“No Winter of Discontent ”

Bravo to U-Switch !! On a day that saw me transferring Electricity (from SWALEC) and Gas (from British Gas) we did a combined bill with NPower, that will see savings of £179. This gives me paper bills at no cost, a single point of contact if I need further advice, a fixed rate until 30th April 2015 and no cancellation fees. Well that was interesting i have been with exactly same suppliers as above customer for same period of time and have been considering switching for the last week and again the best deal for me was the n power fixed April 2015 package. Bit apprehensive of rather poor customer reviews on n power as a company but guess they are all about the same. Just made up my mind to call u switch tomorrow to do the same change as above customer.

Stroudyfrombarry's : I'm a bit 'old school' and always believed in loyalty with a supplier...but no more! BBC Wales have done a lot of coverage on this 'switchover' websites etc. I telephoned USwitch and it was really easy. I am just waiting now for the UK Government to do something HARD and FAST to these robbing energy companies. Good luck! PS: I also did the same on Car Insurance (Go Compare) and saved £176. Also on same website on house contents/building coverage and saved...wait for it £756.

“Beware new builds!”

Rang uSwitch to get electricity & gas price comparisons only to find they do not recognise my post code. Admittedly, my address is a new build but as it is almost 12 months old I had anticipated a company such as this would have up-to-date technology! A bit concerning when they're trying to find you the best deal. The call centre operative offered very little in the way of help/advice so I had to speak to Customer Services - they wanted to use a generic post code based on the area where I lived… Read Full Review

“Great Customer Service”

I did my homework and was going to switch online to another energy supplier. I just wanted more information about uSwitch, as its so easy to use a service and find you have made a big mistake. “Not sure ”

I done a comparrison as i am on key meters, at the time i was on Npower but had been looking at Ebico which on my estimates looked much cheaper as they have zero standing charges compared to roughly £90 per yr with other companies. I done the comparrison and it gave me British Gas. I took a risk and changed to Ebico and its absolutely great. What i use on Npower on a week lasts me just over 2 weeks with Ebico. “Not working for electric only search.”

I tried this many times to compare electricity suppliers, when I put in my current details I kept getting the same fault "we cannot find that tariff and payment method" clearly there is a bug in the system as the details are correct. Were you comparing as Ebico? They are not listing them for some reason and this means people have took a more expensive comparrison u switch have given them. I changed from N Power to Ebico who i know are much cheaper and are cheaper on my spend than British Gas. My friend queried why no Ebico and they said oh thats because they are more expensive than your current supplier N Power, they are not they are far cheaper

I gave uswitch all the details of my economy 7 consumption and they worked out Scottish Power would be the cheapest supplier. I was unfair to uswitch. The incompetence is that of Scottish Power who advertise tariffs for night-time meters but will not accept mine. But they seem unable to stop the switching process! I have to switch to them and then switch back to my original supplier. How daft is that?
