Good Points: Great family fun,
Bad Points: none
General comments: Visited Caerphilly Castle on Sunday and was not disappointed. It was the first time I had been in as a paying adult and after going as a child it is a place I have never forgotten. As we arrived at the carpark we found it very welcoming and maintained very well and with the sight of the castle the kids aged 3, 6 & 7 were excited.
After we got over the moatbridge we entered the castle shop to buy our tickets where the staff were polite and helpful.
Once in the castle the kids where able to discover the whole castle and imagine what life would of been like all those years ago. The information was set out and easy enough for even our 6 year old to read proving that the day was eduacational as well fun.
Inside the main hall there where two 'real knights' one was giving fencing leasons and we couldn't get the kids away whilst the other was stood greeting people and speaking in olde english which even impressed an old fool like me.
The whole day was a sucess and enjoyed by all I would recommend Caerphilly Castle to everyone young and old even on the cold snowy Sunday morning like we choose.
