Do not waste your money, since purchasing this 15 months ago I have had 6 things going wrong with it all to do with the parts and also overheating in the summer!, Customer Services are good if its within the guarantee but 3 months out of it they don't want to know, it is not fit for the purpose it is designed for and I am writing a letter of complaint!
We have bought cheaper hoovers and they have lasted longer (4 years or so), would of been nice to of known that this was not going to last... (read more)

What a complete waste of money has this Hoover - The One Pet been. I bought this with high expectations as Hoover have been around for a long time and we have dogs, carpets and wood floors so was expecting the One Pet to work well. In did the job okay for the first few weeks then the problems started.
Motorised brushbar doesn't have anti-jamming feature which means the toothed drivebelt strips its teeth.
Turbine hair brushbar accessory only works if main filters are clean otherwise the... (read more)

motor on Hoover - The One Pet went after a few months hoover came out and replaced it and yet again it went but this time it was out of warranty, i took it to my local hoover repair center who told me to get another hoover as i would always have the same problem, so i ended up taking it to another shop this time i was told the same but the man had found that a motor from a panasonic cleaner fitted at that he had put the same one in quite a few hoover one touch cleaner with great sucess, it... This could have been a winner for Hoover after the disastrous Dust Manager range, but unfortunately the One range isn't much better. I think it's all down to the shoddy build quality and awful filtration which really isn't cut out for a vacuum of this size which is designed to cope with pet hair and will probably be used in larger homes.
Its a shame because when its working properly it's a great vacuum with some really cool features. The tools are great especially the mini turbo brush... (read more)

I feel the purchase of the Hoover - The One Pet cleaner has been a waste of money, the only good thing was the engineer on his first visit ordered me replacement parts for no charge. from the day this vacuum was purchased I have had so many problems. Considering it is for "Pets" it does not cope very well, mine is constantly getting blocked even though I empty it continually. Within the first 6/8 months I called the engineers to it 2 times. I complained about its maneuverability and was... (read more)

The main motor on my Hoover The One Pet has blown, dunno how but the windings on the motor were in bits, this was outside the warranty but don't really expect it to blow after such a short time. I notice its made in Italy and fairly cheap to replace ( £37.00) but Hoover wanted £70.00 to send an engineer out, we've decided we don't wanna spend anymore on it let alone another £100, we wont buy another hoover, especially after reading reviews here. This hoover is total rubbish, it cuts out after 10-15 minutes and then needs about 20 minutes to start again! It takes me a whole day to hoover my house. It's very heavy and not for carrying up and down stairs. When we managed to get hold of anyone at the helpdesk they sent an engineer out who made it worse by breaking the hose clips off while apparently "fixing it"! A huge dissapointment. (read more)

This is a good machine, very good at doing 'what it says on the tin', i.e., cleaning up after pets have been aound. It may be a little too fussy for some people who can't be bothered to keep the filters clean, but do that as recommended, and the machine is very, very good. The suction level is high, and the powered brush assemblies are very effective. Just make sure to RTFM, and you will be a happy bunny with this machine (read more)

The worst vacuum I have ever owned. It is a triumph of everything that you should not do when you rip off someone else's idea. They have taken everything that is good in a Dyson and turned it into a negative. The design team should win an award for Incompetence and the management should win an award for bring such a heap of junk to the market. (read more)

This product is fatally flawed, the filters get blocked by fine dust. Then the vacuum cuts out (thermal cut off). Bought extra filters, so we could wash one set whilst using the other. However, we're lucky to get 20 minutes from it before another cut out. 15-20 minute wait for it to reset. It's totally useless and is not fit for purpose, everyone should get a refund, unless Hoover address this their reputation will continue to be tarnished, maybe beyond repair (like their vacuum cleaners).... Don't buy this product or any other hoover product as the warranty/customer help line is terrible.
When you purchase this product you are trapped if you have a problem (if over the 28 day that makro give you), the box tells you "dont take back to the retailer contact them ( not on a free phone number! but you pay, and they make more money out of you), i had mine repaired 4 time in 8 months and they finally sent be a replacement, not the same product (got no stock, or stopped making it)... I keep having to clean the filters, wont do as the book says 5 empties to 1 clean of filters.
Unit will cut out if filters are not clean and takes about 10-20 mins to reset.
Be careful on purchase as after 28 days any fault you need to call Hoover. so no chance of a re-fund, once you have it your stuck with it.

As much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, and even a brush is better, because it's reliable. The Hoover The one rapidly clogs with dog hair when using the accessories, then it's almost impossible to get to the bends in the pipes to clear them out. It then overheats and switches itself off.
Not that Dysons are any better, but I digress. (read more)

If Hoover sorted out the filter that goes into the dust bin and made it twice the size, and also made the cord longer, it would solve most of the Hoover One Pet vacuum cleaner's problems. It's got great suction, it just should have had more consumer testing before marketing. (read more)

I do not believe the Hoover One Pet vacuum cleaner device is fit for purpose.
It's all very good Hoover saying it's a powerful device so it picks up lots more dust, thereby clogging the filters. The dust is supposed to end up in the dust chamber for easy disposal!
Maybe if you have a two up two down, it would work OK, but for a large house it trips out before the whole house has been cleaned. (read more)

I bought Hoover - The One Pet a year ago thinking it would be ideal and was great for about 6 months then everything that could fall off/snap/pop out has done so and no apparent access to replacing parts. It needs emptying and cleaning a lot otherwise it overheats, the suction on it after a year is pretty average. I have put zero for customer support but I couldn't really assess as I have never been able to get through. Don't buy this, it really is a waste of money. I am just about to take... (read more)

I am sorry but I don't have a good thing to say about this rubbish Hoover - The One Pet vacuum. I don't even like using the word Hoover after this experience. You know you spend a lot of money on these things and when they don't do what you expect of them it makes you nuts. I am really disappointed with the Hoover The One Pet vacuum cleaner. After having a totally useless Dyson Cylinder, I had hoped by purchasing a Hoover upright it would do exactly what the Dyson didn't... pick up pet hair!

I bought the Hoover The One Pet vacuum cleaner three months ago, The first one was sent back as the cylinder kept falling off. I got a replacement one month later, and that was overheating, and had the smell of burning and cut out. An engineer called and said it was the filters. Two months later the same problem occurred. It has again overheated to the point where parts inside have melted and stuck together... (read more)
