We have a Technika DVDR2005 DVD player and it is only playing the backround audio i.e. music etc but not the full sound with voices. We've tried all of the audio setting but it won't work! It's not the TV either because the sound on this is working perfectly. (read more)

The Technika DVDR 2005 reads everything and excellent value for money. Mine has gone kaput due to kids playing around with it was looking to replace with same model, but unfortunately not available any more. (read more)

I got the Technika DVDR 2005 from Tesco for £68.00. If you are looking for a DVD recorder, or even just a DVD player, then this is the the one to buy.
This is a excellent DVD recorder/player that puts many other more expensive players to shame.
It can record from scart, S-Video, internal analogue tuner, composite video through phono lead and possibly DV (I don't have a DV device so I can't test it).
It will play through scart, optical, S-Video and composite video.

Fat32 would need additional device driver code and probably more memory as well. Making the unit more expensive.

Sadly, the DVD drive on my Technika DVDR 2005 DVD recorder failed today, after 8 months of use. The tray slides in or out with a juddery movement, and it won't read any disks.

'Larger FAT32 drives will not work on the USB port' WHY? If only - would be good.
