I have watched the show since day one. Have just watched my last show. Cannot watch the constant silly walks and inane chatter to and fro with the banker. I have been recording the show so that I can fast forward all the time wasting, but cannot be bothered anymore. Shame as I like the game itself. Not alone in these comments quite a few friends and family feel the same. (read more)

I love Deal of No Deal and have watched it from the first episode. As for Noel Edmunds, what a corker he is, especially in his airline captains outfit this week grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am in my mid seventies (with grandchildren, great grandchildren, healthy, fit, young thinking, love life etc) I would be his trolley dolly any day of the week. Well done Noel, you really have got a show to be proud of.

Written on: 12/06/2010

Could it be that the contestant that is on the program has been previously chosen and puts on an act of surprise? Why? -- Because Noel has already got their card with their details on the table before the show begins.
I would prefer a straight game without all this sickly silly "men kissing when the 1p comes up) and Noel sometimes gets to rudely personal with his comments and critisism of the contestants.
The actual game is very entertaining. Noels winkle picker shoes and different shirts... (read more)

Agree with the above comments. Would add that, for me unfortunately, it is becoming more and more the Noel Edmunds Show and I'm afraid that a man very near pension age, with a ridiculous 60's hairstyle (is it all still his own hair I wonder?), flowery shirts and jeans with a tight belt to hold in his paunch, just makes me cringe.
Three more questions -
1)Why does there need to be anyone who knows where the £250,000 is? It would be very simple to put an amount card into each box; then have a set of numbered cards that are shuffled and one slid into a slot on the outside of each box.
2)Why is so much time wasted in reiteration of the game played the day before?
3)Does Noel really need to do his very best to get each contestant into tears? Good TV that is not! Can't with let Noel have a (well-earned break?) and let Vernon Kay do it? I think he'd be more into humour and making us laugh, than try to make us cry.

Noel Edmonds has done this show over 1000 times - he does it in a professional manner but he overdoes the "sincerity bit" now in the latest philosophy of the program originally he mocked competitors who dealt early now he is dripping with concern. Cant believe its the same man who did chicken imitations - but it is. Also until recently he gleefully described on countless occasions the evilness of the banker - no longer - he now reward bravery !!! There is no consistancy in the evaluation of... (read more)

Noel is very good as the presenter of Deal or No Deal, but I feel he needs to watch the way he speaks to the older contestants, this spoils the viewing for me. However, I like watching the journey of the contestants and how they bond as a family. lovely family viewing. can't miss it. (read more)

Written on: 10/02/2009 by paddler

Deal or no Deal provides a fascinating insight into the personalities of the individual contestants and their human characteristics. The sequel to each show after a contestant has dealt is disappointing and could be greatly improved to compete with if not equal the excitement of the opening rounds up until a deal is accepted. I enjoy this programme and often share my thoughts about each show with my wife. However, I feel that the tension and the excitement is lost after contestants have... (read more)

This is a fun show to watch however I spent many, many hours in the past filling internet competition forms only to discover later that it was a fix for which they were fined a large sum of money. So now the competitions have lost all credibility and been scrapped. It is enjoyable to watch. Cringeworthy at times when contestants 'break down' over the money they didn't win - get a life comes to mind! I do however sometimes have my doubts over certain contestants who just seem a little too... (read more)

Written on: 03/05/2007 by lancervhead (29 reviews written)

Not sure about this programme really. 22 contestants each pick a box at random containing a monetary value. Then one contestant gets picked to take their box to the front and then proceeds to open eveyones else's boxes (3 at a time) and try to elliminate the smaller amounts (ranging from 1p to £250,000). After every 3 boxes picked the "banker" will offer the chosen player an amount of money depending on which values are left with the other contestants. They can either "deal or no deal" and... Watching the greedy be humiliated gets boring when they all walk away with nothing due to their greed. If I were on the show I would pull out as soon as possible.

The first series is over for Deal or No Deal? Channel 4's latest hit show starring Noel Edmonds is a must see. Produced by Endemol makers of Big Brother it has no intellectual content all. 22 boxes each have a card in them with a sum of money printed on it from 1p to £250,000. It is the job of the contestant to open the boxes one... (read more)

Deal or No Deal is already a massive success in the UK after only it's first season. Twenty-two people each select a box not knowing what amount of money it contains (ranging from 1p - £250,000), one of the people is then selected to play Deal or No Deal. The contestant selects boxes, revealing the amount of money inside them and therefore narrowing down what is in their own box. Periodically the banker calls using the old-fashioned telephone to talk to Noel and offer an amount of money for... (read more)

I'd just love to be a contestant on Deal Or No Deal, it's such a great show and Noel Edmonds is perfect as the host.

How does it work? Here's the deal: 22 contestants all have one box each. Each box contains a sum of money ranging from 1p to £250K. The contestants do not know the amount of money that is in their box. One contestant is picked at random to play the game and they take to the hotseat with Noel. The contestant must then select a series of boxes in each round with the aim to try... (read more)

Sad! Not at all - I'm not a happy man if I miss Deal or No Deal!!! It is also repeated on More4 at 6.10pm on weekdays which I find useful as I am at work during the 4pm show.
It's the best show on TV and I just love it when the contestants 'No Deal'!!!!

I'm still trying to work out if there's a "fix" in this game and whether it's really what it seems... Having watched the contestant doing her 50th game and the amazing conincidences of "50" things related to this (some of which must surely have been preconceived), it's got me thinking.
Whatever the answer - and I'm still suspicious! - Noel Edmonds does a great job. And I'd love to see a pic of the banker at some stage.

I too tape it every day. It's a little addictive because every day, when they don't win £250k, you think to yourself "Maybe tomorrow..."! I'm not sure about the "one player picked at random" bit. I don't for a minute think it's truly random. I'm sure the TV company (and possibly even Noel?) knows precisely who is going to be picked on any given day.
