    Good Points: Picture clarity.
    Good sound.


    Bad Points: Only one HDMI socket.
    Replacement cables expensive.


    General comments: I bought the Pioneer PDP-506FDE plasma TV after looking at many on the market, from the Panasonic to the Philips. The Pioneer offered an excellent picture quality at a price that was actually cheaper than the Panasonic. It took two people to put it on the wall as it is quite heavy being 50". The sound reproduction is excellent and can fill a moderate room, even with only the front speakers on. The external media receiver is also excellent, as it cuts down on the wiring that enters the display. (one power cable and one optical cable).

    The model I purchased included a wall stand. However, others can include either a wall, table or freestanding stand. The wall stand is of excellent quality. Essentially, it is all I would expect in a top notch display from Pioneer.
