    If your a person capable of love and real feeling DONT USE PLENTY OF FISH. I am a 21 year old male and their are much more men then there are women on this site. I have never seen women so selfish and coinceded in my life. These women have the idasity to complain about the men when their saying they expect men to be 6 feet or taller and must meet an array of expectations to be loved. I have never seen so many cold psycopaths in one place. I want to find a women capable of love not conditional love.

    F U C K plenty of fish and all the B I T C H E S on it I hope swine flu kills every one of them.

    POF doesn't have the toolsets required to refer to itself as a dating site. It's just a light weight version of myspace. ... which is a hookup site at best.

    Most women are certainly in bargain hunting mode.

    Most women just expect men to line up in their email queue to await approval.

    Most women have a self image outside of what they could possibly reach.

    I'm 29 and met a very nice genuine guy on this site just over 2 years ago and am very pleased to say we are busy planning our future together and have our wedding booked for 28th August next year!
    If you stick with it and ignore the guys who just want one thing, it's a fab site for meeting people who are genuinely looking for a meaningful lasting relationship.
    Just be sensible and most of all safe!

    i have already written a review, but don't see it here.
    here goes again.
    i would never recommend plenty of fish to anyone for any reason.
    it is user unfriendly and run by contol freaks.
    their rules/regulations are far from the norm.
    it seems as though plenty of fish likes to delete people at their whim.
    some of the moderators appear to have control issues.
    poorly run and a big turn off.
    the users themselves are diverse and seem fine, but it is the management that's not fine. ...

    My personal experiences on Plenty Of Fish. I can't say it worked for me very well.

    My age is 48 and I'm male. I was looking for females in London UK aged 35 to 45.

    The site seems to be full of fake people of one kind or another.

    I tried 2 different methods on this site.
    Profile 1 with a photo.
    Profile 2 without a photo.

    Only a few replied to Profile 1 with a photo. (I am not an ugly guy).
    And again only a few replied to Profile 2 without a photo.(photos made no real difference)

    I am glad I found this forum and that other people have shared my experience with plentyoffish, because up until a few mins ago i was frustrated with the site. I was recently deleted from the site, with the following possible reasons:

    A friend told me about POF a couple months ago. I decided to give it a try so I went to their site, and registered for an account. The account remained open for 2 weeks, then was deleted. I sent an email to their customer service to complain, but got no response. I opened another account... that one lasted a week, then got deleted. Sent another complain, no response.     Plenty of Fish should be renamed Plenty of Annoyances as you spend priceless minutes of your life writing and setting up a nice profile to have it deleted, gone forever a few minutes later, wasting your time and patience!     POF is pretty rough for guys. The most common complaint from guys I hear and agree with is: women on the site seem to believe they are a couple of notches above what they really are. It's pretty challenging to meet women at the same level I would in normal life. I have NOT experienced this problem with paid dating sites ... but I only used one for a short period.

    To do well on POF a guy needs to be in at least the top 30% of guys by preferable in the top 20%. I am pretty close to that still, b ...

    First things first, if you can best past the shoddy workmanship of the site itself, there really is an excellent opportunity to meet a great partner on this site. Unlike other sites, POF lets YOU decide who to e-mail and talk to...and it's 100% FREE!! If you don't like someone, you block them, plain and simple.

    I was on POF about 15 months but left earlier this year after they disabled their instant messenger function. Other free sites have that function so I went to them instead.

    POF has quite a range of potential partners. However I feel its size is its own undoing - there are simply too many choices shall we say.     I was disappointed with the Plenty of Fish so called 'matches'. What is the point in stating your preferences, when half the people who were 'matched' with you dont meet your criteria. Such as, you request to be matched with people who also want Long Term Relationships, and find people who want Friends, or Dating etc in your 'matches', also those who are outside of your geographical area, or outside of your specified age range are in the 'matches'.     I thought this site was excellent. I had never used a dating site before, and it had never even crossed my mind.     I like Plenty of Fish, I met some really nice men on there, one of who I dated for a couple of years. If I don't like someone on POF I just block them.
