    I went on Plenty of Fish. I put up some pretty good pictures and wrote a good profile reviewed by friends. I'm not grotesque. Women do talk to me and I have quite a few women friends. I am shy and have a low self-esteem and so find it hard to get emotionally involved with women. I sent out 30+ messages and only got one reply, from a girl who didn't really seem interested and stopped replying after a few messages. Plenty of Fish has ruined what little self esteem I had and left me feeling pretty unhappy about myself. I don't know why it only works for some people. It can leave your self esteem and self worth in tatters.

    Plenty of Fish site requires too much effort to be worth your time. Site lacks any significant matching criteria. Women get flooded by mail because they can not restrict their visibility to what they are looking for. As a result a lot of emails sent never gets noticed, just too many to deal with. Site is more suitable as just a hook up site at best. From a male perspective, can not segment user base sufficiently to be useful ... lot of wasted time.     I met the girl of my dreams. We've decided to move in together and I'm sure I'll have a ring on her finger in the next year.

    I can't thank the guys that put the Plenty of Fish site together enough.

    Well ladies,all I can say is get it together....Its summer,hot and a great time to meet someone,but your all looking for the moon...Also I think your missing opportunitys,such as meeting a good guy...stop looking for GQ magazine material and go for a good hearted man...I am starting to believe that good guys finish last....give a guy a chance because you have to realize time is moving,your getting older and your really misssing out....don't end up alone and lonely.....Its more fun with a good fr ...

    I don't know what's going on, but I cannot get on Plenty of Fish at all. It just started this evening. When I try to get on the site I get a message saying Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. I can see other sites on the internet just fine. I don't think they would have kicked me off or deleted me. I don't use the forums and there is nothing on my profile or in my pictures that disobeys the rules.     I found Plenty of Fish to be filled with all sorts of people: funny people, crabby people, lonely people, desperate people, and charming people. I have been on the site for about a month and have had three dates. All of the gentlemen that I met were very genuine. All were polite, honest, and sincere. They were also good looking!     i thought Plenty of Fish was a good idea and was interesting, but it is disheartening when you message men and they dont even bother to reply, i have replied to all my messages even when i wasnt interested.

    As guy Plenty of Fish is interesting. Its has a large selection of women on it., which is great. Compared to other sites that you pay for. What sucks it that the women expect to date a model or don't know what type of man they want. So they just end up reading emails from tons of men and doing nothing.

    I was a member on Plenty of Fish for around 3 months, in that time I found no girls who interested me in more than friendship, but found plenty of clingy average looking girls who were getting way too serious far too quickly (without even meeting me). One was even talking about marriage.     I didn't like the Plenty of Fish website because it is free. I have been on it for 2 days and the majority of guys misspell words and have these really cheesy photos that they took of themselves. I would say 50% of the guys have photo that they took of themselves with their cell phones....come on guys if you are going to take a picture of yourself don't do it in front of a bathroom mirror or to where it looks like you took it yourself.     Plenty of Fish is a joke. I was on it for 3 months right after my divorce and had 8 women that would do anything I asked them too. I am not a "stud", muscular, or skinny for that matter. You guys are doing it all wrong. Women do not want a push over punk, they want to get treated like a lady and for us to take charge. I emailed 100 or so women and got 80 + responses.

    I have been on Plenty of Fish for 6 weeks now and have had absolutely nothing. The women never reply to e mails or contact me when I add them to my favourite list. Some of the women seem to treat it as an ego trip - boasting about their (supposed) qualifications, good job, and post pictures of their exotic holidays. As a tee totaler I note that many also post pictures holding drinks and boast about getting drunk how pathetic. I'm off to delete my profile now !..

    i agree with what the other users are posting. plenty of fish pretty much sucks other than its free, the site is ugly, really ugly. its not very user friendly to navigate. you can email a load of women and get very few to zero responses. the selection is poor. this is my second time using it and its always the same girls,never any new members. i would only recommend giving it a shot since its free.

    I have been apart of the plenty of fish crowd for around four years after getting away from a bad marriage decided to take the plunge and start dating again offered a real safe enviroment and the option was mine on who I wish to contact always got reply's to the emails which I sent nothing really serious has developed from this site.

    Good point is that Plenty of Fish is free. So at least you haven't thrown money away. Other than that it isn't a good way to meet women. I have met one or two females who look nothing l ike their pics.

    In general women don't respond. The few mail you get are from much older women who are not really suitable. Again I agree with other posters women on POF have an over inflated opinion of themselves and unrealistic expectations of what they think they deserve.

    I've gone on to Plenty of Fish and ended up putting out 100 emails and not getting a single response. I don't believe I'm so bad looking that such a thing would be called for. When I confronted some of the women. I got kicked off the site and not so much as an email why. When I emailed the owner of the site to complain I got no response. Its not worth your time. It shows lots of women but none of them ever respond to a message and you'll just be talking into air.

    I have had messaged back and forth with a few women on Plenty of Fish but then later on I no longer hear from them even after I write back.It's like they fell off the face of the earth.
