Good Points: It smells like you've been working in a fragrant garden...in a good way.
    It's cheap ($20 USD).
It's more of an herbal and grassy scent for those who are tired of fruity/floral summer fragrances.
Very soft, not cloying at all.

Bad Points: The packaging is rather cheap and sometimes Demeter bottles tend to leak.
The scent is rather fleeting--lasting about two hours for the lucky ones.
It might be a little too soft for some; provides very little sillage.
More of a warm season fragrance; not really for all year wear.

General comments: Demeter Dirt is a beautiful, moist, earthy smell and I absolutely love it. I'll be the first to admit I'm a country girl at heart, and this is exactly what my mom, sister and I used to smell like after working in Mom's garden. It's fresh cucumbers and lilacs, green grass and...well, dirt. But beautifully moist and pungeant dirt. Having said that, this isn't for everyone. In fact, many may hate it. It isn't fruity or your typical sweet floral, though there is a sort of skin-scent sweetness in there somewhere after a few minutes. It isn't really a fragrance to wear at night or to attract a man. Dirt is more for yourself--on days when you want life to feel a little simple and relaxed. The only problem I have with it is that it hardly lasts a couple of hours before it completely disappears. Overall I would call it a summery scent for an earthy gal who doesn't want a lot of muss&fuss or a scent for those cold days when you want to remind yourself that spring will eventually return.
