Parklands is an amazing venue. We recently had our civil ceremony there and our wedding planner (Vince) was great. He kept the day running to plan and chased things up (behind the scenes) if they needed it. The waiting staff were brilliant in remembering allergies and were polite and professional at all times (we gave clear instructions for guests with allergies - including myself).
The menu choices are brilliant giving choices for different budgets. My only gripe was the wine choices being quite expensive - but the venue makes up for that in other areas!
At the end of our wedding day, our planning co-ordinator drove us to the wedding pavilion where a jacuzzi bath was waiting with a bottle of cooled champagne - perfect!
We had a bedroom package for family and used the bridal pavilion which was faultless. Our first breakfast with family and friends was great and I wouldn't have changed one bit of it.
I cannot comment on inhouse suppliers (like the DJ) as we booked our own band and florist but the chair covers were the perfect match for our colour scheme - with a book full of colours to choose from! Our wedding co-ordinator went out of his way to find a colour that matched.
After booking Parklands we read some negative reviews on this website which had concerned us, however, we were thoroughly pleased with the venue and service throughout the day and had a great wedding!

Everything was superb, the venue, the staff, the food. The staff made the day so special for our daughter (even down to the cleaners!). The food was fantastic the rooms were spotless. Highly recommended to celebrate any special occasion.

Just a belated note to say a huge thank you to everyone at Parklands-especially the wedding event manager for making the wedding so perfect. The setting could nt have been more idyllic-absolutely everything about the rooms immaculate and breath-taking-the food looked and tasted out of this world and above all the service, friendliness and infinite care shown by you all was superb. We could nt have been more pleased if we had actually been the grand family who owned the whole estate and it had be ...

We will certainly recommend you without hesitation - everybody that attended commented on how beautiful the venue was and how it was the best wedding they had attended.....of which your brilliant staff have a lot to take credit for.

Parklands Quendon Hall is excellent Venue. Overall a fantastic day!
I thougt everything was great. I thought the food was expensive for what it was, but other than that everyone enjoyed the wedding.

Parklands is a really pretty venue, beautiful grounds and building, but i have to say overall i would never recommend it to any brides to be. The staff were really really rude, patronising and don't even get me started on the wedding coordinator. They served up the wrong dessert during my wedding meal, and when i questioned it they told me that i was mistaken and it was the right dessert! Someone apparently broke a toilet seat during the day and they came to tell me i had to pay for it during th ...

Quendon Hall looks amazing, but everything is massively over priced. The rooms with no tv, room service and a 9am check out range from £152 -250 per room. Corkage is £14 per bottle of wine and the cheapest bottle of House wine is £20 for what tastes like some £5 plonk from Tesco.

I attended a wedding at Parklands Quendon Hall, Quendon, Essex, on the 1st of march. I must say from a guest point of view the whole day was fantastic. The food was to die for I felt like I was dining in a 5 star hotel restaurant the pork fillet was cooked to perfection and the presentation was second to none. The dining hall was over looking the dear ground giving a fantastic view. Overall I was made to feel extremely welcome I would recommend parklands to anyone to hold there special day. Pi ...

Quendon Hall is an amazing wedding venue set in the most beautiful setting. I loved that we had exclusive use so there was no other wedding on the same day, felt like the house was our home! We found that the staff who both planned and ran our wedding on the day to be brilliant nothing was ever too much for them. The food was amazing and all our guests said how they thought it was the best meal at wedding they have had. Our Bridal Suite was stunning as are all the rooms at Quendon. Our family th ...

Parklands Quendon Hall is a beautiful place, fantastic food, good service. A nice venue if you don't look too deep but i wouldn't book my wedding here. Food was lush and hot and the staff nice and friendly. What they didn't tell us is that we were apparently on a revolving door of weddings and that check out was 9AM even for the wedding couple (which I think is absolutely ridiculous) and that we would have to cross the car park with packed bags to be squeezed into a small dining room for breakf ...

Parklands Quendon Hall, Quendon, Essex Review - The wedding itself was planned fantastically, and everyone was welcomed in and everything went without a hitch.

The food for the meal was very nice, however the vegetables were very undercooked (almost raw) and the bride's starter was still frozen in the middle.

The house DJ is terrible. I could have done a better job with an iPod!

Whilst Quendon is beautiful and a unique setting for a wedding, at our function all this was ruined by the thoughtless and rude staff. All in all we were very disappointed. When you go to a function here you expect service second to none - however we found Quendon lacking.

My husband and I decided to get married and gave ourselves two months to do it! We looked at Parklands on the internet and decided to have a look in person.

As we drove up the driveway we both knew that it was the right venue for us, it looks fantastic, with beautiful grounds and lots of deer roaming around, a perfect picture!!!

The interior is lovely - the rooms are big and decorated beautifully.

With the help of the staff we managed to arrange our wedding in the two months planned and ...
