    Very satisfied with the Bulgaria Air punctuality- we arrived about 15 minutes in front of schedule. Landing was perfect even in poor weather. The cabin crew was friendly and professional. Vegetarian sandwich was not available. All in all a very good flight, especially taking the price into account.

    I flew a return from Heathrow to Sofia last week with Bulgaria Air. The flight there was an A320 and the flight back an A319. Both flights were incredibly comfortable, the cabin crew were outstanding. Incredibly polite, well mannered, attractive, calm, confident, but not arrogant. Constant updates by the crew and a very good service at Sofia airport.

    I fly with Bulgaria air every year. I am always in economy. It is awesome. Everyone acts hospitable and warmhearted. The food is great and the flight is smooth and calm.

    I don't see why people write so many horrific comments about Bulgaria Air. I think they just stick to a stereotype that just because it has the name "Bulgaria" in it, it must be bad. Well to all those "miserable" travelers, I say you are wrong. I have flown BG Air for a few years now, yes in the early years, from 2002 until about 2005/6, it was a struggling airline and it had quite a few negative points.     Cancelled flights twice, first time they informed us, second time we found out by chance they had cancelled our rescheduled flight. Aircraft in poor state inside and out. Staff are very abrupt to the point of ignorant. Very disappointing service from the Bulgarian flagship company. We are the customer and expect some level of service.

    Having complained to Customer Services in London about the absence of a vegetarian meal option (when booked in advance and confirmed at check-in), and sent a reminder, I am still awaiting the courtesy of a reply.

    Old planes. No tv, radio....nothing. The least legroom I have ever encountered. Disgusting ham or cheese roll. Brick hard. They should just scrap this. Stewardesses must have all been off work the day their training covered 'smiling'. Humerous tannoy from Captain once, which was hard to understand.
    Akin to sheep being herded into Bulgaria and then pack you back home with not so much as a by-your-leave.

    No leg room, old plane, stewardess couldn't speak very good English! Awful stale ham or cheese sandwich and awful cup of tea!! Didn't have enough duty free stuff to go round whole plane, air stewardesses should smile more, would not recommend them and would definitely not fly with them again!! I also couldn't understand the pilot but apart from that he was very good and got us there earlier than expected

    Bulgaria Air aren't good, do not fly with them. We are sitting at Sofia Airport now after we changed our flights and they have no record of the change. We are getting no help and the usual "thank You have a nice day" We have now booked with a real airline and hoping to get back to normal life soon. If you are thinking of traveling with Bulgaria Air please consider medical advice. We may try again to get some help for a refund for the flight and hotel we needed.

    I'm surprised that a Bulgaria Air plane has not had a serious accident. No leg room and the in-flight meal consisted of a slice of ham and cheese carefully inserted into a stale role, then wrapped in cling film. I don't know why they needed stewardess', the co-pilot could have launched the rolls down the plane from the cockpit.

    They obviously do not know where the seats on their planes are because I was told I had an exit seat on both trips however ended up either one row in front of the exit ...

    We flew Bulgaria Air from Gatwick to Sofia, and back one week later. The plane was old, but it flew well and we had plenty of leg room. The staff were friendly and helpful. In general I would recommend them, and I thought that considering that Bulgaria was now trying to shake its former image, this airline did do it justice. I would use them again. Great value for money and marvelous in-flight wine!
