    Good Points: Excellent engine, Reliable, Practical, extremely good value for money.


    Bad Points: Slightly heavey clutch in traffic, Some interior plastics a bit cheapish


    General comments: I have had many company cars some have been very good and the Skoda Octavia Elegance rates among the best, albeit for different reasons. It is so practical, so spacious, quiet at motorway speeds and economical. The engine is so torquey but watch out, I found especially when new that it stalled quite often when trying to pull away at low speed in second gear. I road tested a number of quality cars before I committed to this one I have not regretted it. I have withstood all the slights at the badge from business colleagues and the like but they remain in ignorance of such a fine car

    Already 3 months I have Skoda Elegance 2.0/140hp.I am pretty satisfied and I would say it is a perfect car for the money you are paying for. Economic car with powerful engine and good design.I was driving on the highway with 100 miles/h when an idiot in front of me began overtaking,when I was overtaking him at the same time. I hit the side protection of the road and managed to stop immediately thanks to the ABS and ASR system. Just a little scratch on my bumper - unbelievable.

    Excellent quality vehicle the Skoda Octavia (2005) 2.0 PDi Elegance. Previously had a Mazda6 TS2 which I found to be noisy at speed. Quality of build far superior in the Skoda. Quality of materials is excellent and classy. Equipment levels are high. Side mirror LEDs, courtesy illumination of sidewalk when unarming alarm/opening car. Headlight power-wash. Astounding music system - better than the Mazda's Bose system! The six speed gearbox is a delight well suited to the 140bhp engine which has si ...
