the best car i can ever have in my life. this car has never given me any sort of troubles. it always starts in just one go. always been cheap on run, gives trills of high speed driving above 80 mph. this car`s engine was also used in suzuki alto, pontiac matiz, & the new chevy spark.

Overall, the Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE is a fantastic little car, especially for a first time driver!
It's perfect for city driving and whizzes between cars like a go-kart. What it lacks in speed it makes up for everywhere else. It's really spacious for a little car, cheap to run and nice to look at. I have to say, it is a bit of a girls car!

Just passed my driving test and bought my Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE 2nd hand but it starts every time. A cute little car which is cheap to insure and run and has loads of space for such a little car. Very reliable car which is very cheap to run and insure. Topped it up with £10 worth of petrol and it was half a tank!!! Would recommend it to anyone wanting a car for city driving but not so much for the motorway because of the small engine size.

Only badpoints are it started to develop this c ...

With the Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE you get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful, starts first time every time. It is far more reliable than my £10000 Citroen C4 and I only paid £1000 for the little Matiz. Not found any bad points yet, but as I use it rarely it may take some time.

This is an excellent and reliable car - I've never had any problems with it and it's extremely spacious for such a small car.

I've had this car for 6 months and I have to say it's started first time every morning - I drove to Brighton and back from Canterbury once and after this it developed an over heating problem which resulted in the water pump being replaced and the problem was fixed - this cost about £150. After this a clicking noise developed which resulted in the cv gators and joins being replaced for the mot which it flew through (not literally) - this was all in all a very expensive period for me but I f ...

My Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE was good while the reliability lasted (2 years) and then it just started to irritate me more and more. Watch out for the blue windscreen strip also, it took me 6 months to realise that I was pulling my head down in a most unhealthy posture so I could see under it (me at a tall 5' 7").

Finally got fully fed up with the ever growing list of engine related niggles and got rid of it. At the end the fault list was:
The engine had a massive flat spot at the bottom which the ...

I have just passed my driving test and have been given this car from my parents. To be honest when they drove this car I would criticise till the cows came home. But now I'm in the driver seat its a different story. This car is great for how cheap it is, with me just passing my test the insurance was sky high on anything else (as usual) which it isn't on this. Running costs are next to nill because of its mpg and being a student these need to be low. The interior to my matiz se+ is great...just ...

Bought a T reg Daewoo Matiz when it was 3 years old just to see what it was like because it was the only tiny 4-door that looked like a proper car. Bearing in mind the cost of a Matiz it represents really good value. I found it very practical. Nippy away from lights, brilliant to park. Obviously it struggled on long journies but it wasn't designed for them. With air-con, CD-changer, electric front windows, power steering and the other features on the Chrysler version today it is a brilliant lit ...

I bought my lil Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE just after I passed my driving test because it looked like a cute car, and its really cheap to insure. I've owned it 6 months and I've just traded it in for a KA collection. Admittedly I haven't got a Chevrolet so I don't know how it's been improved. Everything about it is disappointing. Awful awful acceleration, it's so embarrassing and frustrating! The lower gears need changing practically straight away and if it is struggling it makes it difficult to go dow ...

I like this car, I think we should have a Matiz rally somewhere. I bought mine because I got it instead of a bad debt, so I could hardly say no. Mine is a sleak silver colour . It gives the impression of being very fragile b but really its not.I ve given it a right road testing extravaganza. Just plods on and on.
I have to disagree with the last reviewer. My matiz is very economical especial compared in city driving. It is infact in the guiness book of records as having done 30 od Km on one li ...

Before trading it in for my Octavia RS, and thank the Lord I did, I owned a Daewoo Matiz SE. It was cheap to buy new, at a simple £6,400, and insurance was as much as my son's pocket money. It didn't drink much petrol, at a respectable 44mpg. And it drove well for what it was, too.
However, even compared to other city cars, the Matiz didn't make the final grade. For a start, the interior plastics were of a low quality, and there is not a single touch of class anywhere. Interior space was ...
