    We have been waiting a week for our luggage from BMI. We live in California and are on vacation in Cumbria where it is snowing. We have no coats or change of clothes. Unable to contact anyone at BMI and when we have they were totally unhelpful and couldn't care less. Also all Christmas presents missing with luggage therefore we have 2 disappointed kids!
    Would never fly BMI again.

    The customer service and baggage service is HORRIBLE. It is impossible to get in touch with anyone from BMI and they are no help. My luggage was supposed to arrive 5 days ago, and no one can help me either locate the luggage or give me an estimate about how much I can claim back. No one answers their phones or seems to care about their customers. After I arrive home, I will never fly with BMI again and I will NOT recommend this airline to anyone traveling in the UK.

    When I flew on the short Daily hop frequently operating from Manchester to London Heathrow I thought it was on time, pleasant and comfortable with good seating and very good legroom compared to charter flights where you are packed in. Starting with the Flight it was on time and slightly early which was great, the customer service was good and the cabin crew had a nice attitude with the attendants walking across the gangway frequently to check on passengers, suprisingly the flight wasn't full eit ...

    The flight from Amsterdam to London is a one hour flight. That's why I recommended to a friend. And of course because it's a cheap way to get to London. But the Costumor service was very poor. The cabin crew was very cranky and bored. It was a very big plus that we could pick our own seat via the online check-in system. We picked the seats at the front row of the plane were we had quite some leg room. For a short flight I would recommend this airline.

    booked flights for 4 with bmibaby in august 2009 a full 10 months before i was due to fly (june 2010) i have now received an email saying flights have been cancelled for operational reasons although i have already bought and paid hotels transfers etc bmi have placed in the small print they accept no liability for this although i will be refunded i have to wait up to 28 days for this and by that time other airlines prices will have gone up why? when they take your money instantly should people wa ...

    I can not believe what BMI are doing with the rip off £30.00 for a bag that they "check " at the gate just before you board. I used a bag that I always use (within their dimensions) I was first through the gate. The delightful lady ( NOT ) decided it didn't fit in the cage didn't give me chance to try very hard to be honest. The dispatch guys said to me "it's a total con love".     My flight with BMI was at the end of October 2007.There was plenty of seats free,I was on my own in my row with 3 seats,what can you expect from economy flight.I had chosen a seat behind the kitchen on internet but my ticket showed something else,tiny uncomfy seat.     BMI is undoubtedly the worst airline company I ever met. Two of the three times my girl-friend flied BMI, there was a 1-2 hours delay, last time today (WW 3114 Amsterdam-E.Midlands-Manchester instead of Amsterdam-Manchester), departure 19.30, delayed for more than one hour, one extra landing in E.     Short flight from Heathrow to Manchester. Arrived in Manchester to be told baggage was missing and there was no record of it at Manchester. Told to wait 24 Hours. Had to contact BMI baggage department who are rather unhelpful. Bag arrived 36 hours later damaged with contents broken and damaged and an item was also missing. Was then told there would be compensation for the missing item. But the bag was deemed unsuitable by a baggage handler therefore there would be no further compensation.

    Heathrow to Kiev and back. I love flying. I love take-offs. I love how the plane speeds up on the runway. I don't get scared during turbulence.     Feb 8, 2009 LHR to TBS flight. What a nightmare! Plane couldn't land in Tbilisi so diverted back to Yerevan for 12 hours while the crew "rested" in a local hotel . How nice for them, while they rested, BMI's local staff refused the passengers new boarding passes which kept us hostage in the departure lounge.     I have travelled with BMI over 20 times on long distance flights. You can't pre book seats unless you pay money, Personally, I would not serve the food to my dog let alone a human being. When my bags were delayed on a flight from London Heathrow to Edinburgh for 24 hrs I then wrote a letter of complaint for compensation. I didn't even receive an explanation or reply. I have never known the flight to leave Heathrow on time, to Baku.

    My boyfriend booked a flight with BMI to cardiff only to find out he had forgot to put my last name in. BMI were not bothered - all they were bothered about was me paying 35 pound to add the name which is a total disgrace as the flight did not cost that. BMI Baby call centre is not the best.

    I flew with BMI from DUB-LHR. On time, Cabin staff very friendly. 5 Minutes for bags to arrive at LHR. All in all less hassle and cheaper than others.

    I only fly with BMI because I've got so many frequent flier miles - left over from when they were British Midland and actually had some degree of customer service.If you have to pay for your food, I wouldn't advise it because I don't think it's worth it. If you don't have to pay for your food, I'd say stick with something like a Kit Kat rather than a BMI breakfast!

    I flew to Tehran, Iran with bmi and found them fantastic. After a 2 hour delay the crew greeted us with a friendly smile and a positive attitude. The service was excellent I would definitely recommend flying bmi. The best carrier I have flown with. Friendly crew wonderful service. Only bad points were delay, terrible ground staff and it seemed as if they didn't seem to care about any problems.

    Our check in experience with BMI was far from desirable but this was all made up by the cabin staff . They were polite , enthusiastic, hard working, very very proffesional, as a frequent flyer on many airlines i have to say flying BMI is always a pleasure! A real pleasure to fly with such a fantastic airline and commendable staff!

    I went to the galley and asked for a vodka tonic and was told I could have a glass of water or a coffee, no I was not drunk as the purser on the flight can confirm, I had 2 glasses of water and 1 tiger beer during the 5hour flight, I have been flying Baku - Edinburgh on a 6 week rotation for the last 4 1/2 years normally with Lufthansa and I will be returning to them on my next flight.
