Flew agp-bcn-mah then return mah-mad agp. Of the 4 flights we took 3 were with Spanair. Malaga to Barcelona, flight was delayed 1 hour, plane a 717 was very cramped but for a flight of 1 hour and 10 mins it was bearable. The return flight Mah to Mad was on an Airbus 321, very new plane lots of leg room shame it was only a 45 min flight. The next leg Mad to Agp was on MD 87, a very very old SAS (part of Star Alliance) , flight on time but very noisy, and a few of the prople were not happy to be o ...

found a flight for the family (2 adults, 1 child and one 2 month old baby) on Spanair from malaga to barcelona for 350 ' . I found this expensive for a 90 minute domestic flight but I booked it anyway.
I decide to check on the prices 12 hours later and the SAME flights are available for 180 ' !!
I used their web based complaint form to either get a refund for the difference or an upgrade and I have not received any sort of response. Not even an automated email response!!
    I am a frequent flyer c ...

This was the worst airline I have ever flown in my entire life! Aside from the flight being terrible, with terrible service, when we landed we had been notified that our luggage had been lost. We were flying from Frankfurt to Barcelona then to Menorca. We immediately took the claim up with customer service and they assured us that the luggage would be in on the next flight and delivered withing 5 hours. This was a short stay of only five days, so we were thrilled that our items would be there. O ...

We flew from Barcelona to Valencia with Spanair. At check in the luggage conveyor belt stopped. I asked the check in clerk what was happening. His answer was "I don't know, its a circus here every day."
I said to my wife that I didn't think the luggage would turn up. It didn't. We were met at Valencia by a Spanair rep. We filled in the forms and was told our luggage would be with us later that day.
Many phone calls later (To Madrid, thats where the baggage claims are handled), we were told to st ...

I travelled with this airline on 25 Jun 2008 on Flight JK06680 departing Barcelona and arriving in Malaga. I have never witnessed such incompetence in my life. After spending 90 minutes in the check-in line, we were informed that my golf clubs were over size and weight limitations. No problem, how much more will it cost to get them on the flight? 180 Euros. After I finished choking on my urge to choke the representative, I whipped out the credit card, and was told, no no no - you can't pay it ...

Flight with Spanair was on time, excellent Food and entertainment. I flew from Dublin to Lanzarote in May of last year. It was a Sunday afternoon flight. About half an hour into the flight we were served an excellent meal of roast spuds, turkey, gravy and stuffing. We were also giving any free complimentary drink. After dinner the came around with tea/coffee and bars. After the meal they gave out free blankets and pillow. We arrived in Lanzarote approx 20 mins late due to the tailwind, But becau ...

Spanair flight was on time and staff were friendly. However, Lost my luggage. Numerous (expensive) phone calls never yielded a single person who could tell me anything about my bag except that it was missing. They asked for a letter requesting compensation, which I have sent twice. I have never received a response. It has been over 7 months now, and I have never received my luggage, compensation or explanation.

I flew with Spanair last year from Malaga to Menorca via Madrid. We had a half hour delay out of Malaga and were given free drinks and a discount voucher for further flights with Spanair. At Madrid due to bad weather we had another delay of 2 hours but had vouchers for a 3 course meal with drink and when we finally left we had free drinks again on the flight to Menorca. The service and the cabin crew were excellent, as far as using Spanair for internal Spanish flights, I have no complaints what ...

Same Story as Melissa09 below... On our honeymoon, Spainair lost our luggage on route from Frankfurt to Malaga, Spain. We filed a report at the airport and everyday we called afterward, they will still trying to trace the luggage. It's been five months since we returned from Spain, and we have contacted them numerous times via phone and email, to no avail. They won't send us a claims form so we can at least get reimbursement. HORRIBLE customers service. I will NEVER fly Spainair again.Melis ...

Unfortunately my experience with Spainair has been a nightmare. On May 23, 2007, I flew from Barcelona to Ibiza, my luggage got lost in route to Ibiza and the Spainair representative was not helpful and told me there was nothing she could do for me. When I became stern she briefly assisted me giving a me phone number to call. It is now July 24 and my luggage is still missing. When I key my reference number into their website, it states that its not valid. Not one person from this company has res ...

We booked this flight for a very cheap price, the plane was on time but not the taxi that was 25 minutes late at Barcelona, due to works. The Spanair flight was wonderful, nice staff, would recommend.

Being only the fourth party to check-in (at 5am) for the Spanair flight, and having requested exit/extra leg room seats (tallest person in party 6ft 4"), we were given seats with the smallest pitch in the middle of the plane. It was clear once on the plane that seats were available in the area requested, as the people sitting in them were either small children or adults below 6ft. We all spent a very uncomfortable 4 hours on the flight.

Travelling with spanair was an enjoyable experience. They had some great duty free offers on the plane which were actually cheaper than the same products on the island itself! It was unusual in that there seemed to be more stewards than stewardesses on the flight but they were very curtious and helpful.

    Spanair:
The plane was filled to capacity and the space between seats and between rows was so tight that even a short female (such as me) could not be comfortable. The back row seats in particular were so tight that those occupying them could not move.

The Airline made a decision to reroute our "direct" flight from Gran Canaria to Dublin throgh Madrid, adding several hours to our journey. Initially they lied to us about the reason for this. Eventually it was revealed that the pilot's grand ...
