Good Points: This is the perfect movie to watch on your 13th or 30th birthday. It denounces the practice of having other people do your homework for you. A good point is made about what's really cool: being a good person inside.
Bad Points: NONE!
General comments: Jenna Rink is turning 13 this year. She is unpopular, yet manages to get the Six Chicks and her crush, Chris Grandy to come to her birthday party. Matt Flamhaff, her best friend, tells her that she's cooler than they are because they're totally unoriginal. At the party, Tom-Tom suggests Seven Minutes in Heaven and when Jenna is in the closet, everyone except Matt ditches the party. In the closet, it is made obvious that Matt likes her as more than just a friend. Jenna pushes him out of the closet. The next morning, she wakes up as a 30-year-old who has just about everything, except Matt's friendship. This movie features many songs such as "Thriller." The scene at the party where everyone does the "Thriller"dance is truly brilliant. I dance along to it regularly and am in the process of mastering the moves.

13 going on 30 - I saw this film at the cinema, it was really good. A chick flick, which definitely isn't a bad thing. The end was a bit predictable but it didn't ruin the film at all. Easy to understand, and in general just a great film. I would definitely recommend this.- Read jenny1000's review (51 words)

13 going on 30 - The film starts off in the late 80's when soon-to-be 13 year old Jenna Rink (Garner) is finding it difficult not being cool and hanging with the popular girls (The Six Chicks), Jenna is planning her 13th birthday party and agrees to do the popular girls' reports if they come to her party which they agree.
Her best friend and neighbour Matt (Mark Ruffalo) is a bit of a nerd who doesn't care what the popular people think and is only out to protect Jenna from the inevitable.
