Me and my husband went with bct as no one else would give us a loan for a car that we desperatly needed. Our credit is really bad and we needed also a chance to repair our credit. 6 months ago we got into difficulty with payments due to cut backs at work and i have to say they have been fantastic. They have been very patient with us and flexible with our payments. They have also been very understanding and sympathetic and we have not as yet had any problems or been harassed by them. Very happy customers.

I have just bought a car though BCT or so I thought and it would have been my second through them. I paid the dealer £1000 as a deposit to get the car up to standard as I thought the agreement was sety in stone. To my surprise I found out that it was not a done deal as explained over the phone and by letter, but had gone to the underwriters for it then to be declined when I was assured it would be fine. I am now £1000 out of pocket and now not sure if I still have a car.- Read Guest's review (103 words)

British Credit Trust is extremely unflexible, their inability to assist when unforseen problems ensue is breathtaking. They assume everyone lies to them and will not listen or compromise, their answer is to take court action at the earliest opportunity. I became unemployed and could not meet full payments. Interest rates were already high, however I offered to pay the best I could until further employment came along, BCT did not want to know.- Read Guest's review (104 words)

I was able to purchase my car and haggle for a good price knowing the finance with British Credit Trust was inplace, I didn't even need to pay , the payment was direct. Easy to talk to, never any hastle, tell them when you can pay your missed payment and stick to it. I will let you know, 3 years on we want to change cars, fingers crossed.

Borrowed 6K from British Credit Trust in August 2007. Paying back £205 PCM, After paying for year, I enquired about changing car before the current car slips further into negative equity.. at first they were helpful but every time I proposed a car to them they required a £1500 plus deposit to do a deal.I sent them a settlement cheque just last week of £5512.26 As soon as they recieved it, they were straight on the phone offering me various incentives to take out another loan ...- Read Guest's review (152 words)

I was turned down for credit by the dealer's leander so applied to British Credit Trust. I found them helpful, understanding and polite. The APR given to me was actually better than the dealers had been anyway. I also found that when I asked to pay off the finance 16 months early there was no penalty for this as with a lot of adverse credit lenders and there was a significent reduction in the payment as they cancelled the remaining interest.
They helped me out when I really needed it and I will ...- Read CarBuyer1981's review (99 words)

I have bought my first car through the British Credit trust, and have had absolutly no problems whatsoever. The gentleman who dealt with my application was nothing but helpful and answered all questions I had, and they even deliver the car, in perfect condition to your doorstep!
The APR was a little higher than I would have liked, but the British credit trust are there for people such as myself who have a less than average credit rating. I went to them as I was unable to get credit elsewhere, an ...- Read girlscout666's review (167 words)

Brought a car from local garage in 2006, financed through BCT. Initially no problem but two weeks down the line when I had my paper work through a lot of errors. Tried rectifying these issues but to no avail! The car was involved in an accident and written off. My GAP insurance paid out and so did my car insurance. I was told that everything was clear and settled, however in February this year had a letter off debt collectors demanding £1865 immediatly!- Read mikewales's review (102 words)

I have been with British Credit Trust for 3 years now and onto my second car, I had a lot negative equity on my old car so I gave a list of cars BCT and they told which cars to apply for and even reduced my APR. Ok alot of people are moaning about missed payments but I am very sure after being with them for 3 years that I had a problem they would help me out. I am very pleased with there service and would recommend them to any one. A very big thank you to British Credit Trust.- Read neilwalker's review (104 words)
