    Major concern -- Delta tells me that NO meals and No entertainment will be offered on this transatlantic flight of 8 hours. Also, NO meals for purchase! This policy appies to First , Business, ad Economy class on this route, according to Delta's website and Delta's customer service dept. and Delta's reservation agent! What is going on ? Is this new cost cutting measures ?

    THIS IS THE WORST AIRLINE EVER.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM YET TO FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE FOR THE MISCONDUCT THEY HAD WITH ME TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREU,FAA, AND A LAWSUIT.

    I have flown to over a 150 cities with Delta, my latest was between MCO and HNL via MSP (First/Bussiness elite class). In BE class there was lie flat seats with lumbar massages and, AVOD(Audio Video On demand) screens with free movies and games. We received two meals and many snacks on the 8.5-hour flight. The service was great and the flight attendants were very helpful and went out of their way to make you flight great.

    I just wanted to say thanks to Delta for a superb trip, flight and service. After reading some reviews I was a little skeptical of what to expect as this was a 50th Birthday trip to New York for 6 of us in October 09. Not knowing what to expect we booked but flights were a premium and Delta were offing a fantastic price compared to others. We flew London Heathrow to JFK.     They are most uselesss, unprofessional, ridiculous, insensitive, disorganised, ghetto and they should be banned from flying. Because of their disorganization i missed my mums 60th birthday in dec of 2008. The airline was overbooked and as such they delayed our flight from housotn and when we got to NY at 3.30pm they had closed the gate for a flight that was suppose to take off at 4.30 (an hour ahead of time) apparently they had overbooked the day beofre and as such those people were put on the f ...

    Okay, so if you think that i have given Delta airline a too good review, i am reviewing it with a view from a seasoned travelers view and would like to say that airlines are not always the best (US AIRLINES) at trying to please customers. But i thought that Delta was professional at how they handled the flight and how they did what they could with what they had.     Travelled in the Sydney to LA sector, and I hope this helps for people wondering if Delta is a good choice. The flight left and arrived on time, that was perfect. Delta service at sydney airport was fantastic. The flight ended up being completely full.     I wanted to share my experience with Delta Airlines with you.
    It started in April when I bought tickets for my husband, daughter, granddaughter and myself to travel from Portland, Oregon to Norfolk Va. We were leaving on July 28 to attend my sons wedding. He is stationed in Virginia.

    Delta Airlines North West charged me $175 to bring back the same suitcase from Florida that I brought down form NY. They Claimed the bag was too BIG not overweight, too BIG. This was the same bag I flew down with 4 days eariler on Delta North West, and have used one 2 previous flights with Delta this year and 2 more flights on other airlines.     Ridiculous! my delta flight was late getting into GA! I had 5 minutes to get from concourse D to concourse B. Which was impossible and I was running through an airport I've never been to with directions on how to train myself to concourse B! Delta airlines holds flights for no one!     Even first bag was charged, only peanuts and a drink, even on a Delta Airlines cross continental flight, and we got home two hours late.

    Our flight from Dayton was delayed 1 hour 15 minutes due to maintenance, arrived at Atlanta with 15 to spare to get to Venice flight. No one helped us or held plane (yet no connecting flights in Venice)and we missed it. Our Parents had to pay for hotel in Venice and missed private water taxi trip thru Grand Canal with them. We had to spend 2 1/2 hours trying to find another flight and hotel room that night. We had 2 young children with us and no one cared. The customer service was beyond patheti ...

    I flew in june 08, and again in feb 09. Flying again in november. On the flight to Atlanta to get my connection to Seattle the seats were very comfortable, food was good and the customer service was good. Im VERY surprised by all the complainers on here, marking them down on AIRPORT delays and paying for excess luggage. This is STANDARD on any airline.     We flew Delta Airlines, from Atlanta to JFK on 7 July 2009. Due to weather (they say), we were on our plane for over a hour on the taxi way, before we took off. The pilot made several announcements which were no understandable due to volume. But we did hear him say we would make up the time. Which sounds good, but when we arrived we sat on JFK taxiway for 90 min. We finally made it in. Went to the baggage claim. You had to see this to believe it.     Delta Airlines flight was from mex city to nyc...

    1) there was a family behind me patiently waiting in line to be called by the check-in people. there were 4 check-in folks. 3 could have served the family but instead a man came up and told them the check in was closed!

    bottom line: if they cared about service, those 3 desk folks would have rushed the family through as opposed to keeping their faces on their desks.

    Delta SUCKS. BE AWARE OF THEIR SCHEME. Myself and two other people were scheduled to fly out of Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale on June 30 @ 4 pm. We arrived at Delta's curbside luggage check in at 3:10. When we got there no other customers were there, only a Delta representative. He took my luggage, put it on the scale, and weighed it.     Delta Airlines Skymiles is a joke. We have decided that after a long relationship with Northwest/Delta Airlines that we are switching to another carrier. They are supposed to have 3 tiers now in redeeming miles. Yeah right. Try HIGH most of the time. You work your hardest to accrue miles to go on a nice trip and what do they do, they only have HIGH tier. Sorry Delta -- that's it for us.     We went to Cancun, woke up at 4:30 am to be in Cancun by 2:00 and have 1/2 day on the beach. Our 1st flight was delayed 4 times and the connecting flight was delayed twice. We got to Cancun in the dark at 8:30 p.m. All 4 of our bags didn't make it but we were assured we would have them by 1:00 the next day. After many international calls and e-mails we got them 4 days later!!!
