iv bin on many camp sites in my time , about 50 but i after say Holme Valley Camping And Caravan Park the worse one by a long shot. And as i live in london it was i very long way for such a disgrace of a campsite. also the women who worked there was so rude, also the showers were very dirty and the floor is covered wiv mood and the staff dont bother to clean up. i would not recommend this to anyone whos looking for a good time and a nice weekend like we were. AVOID AT ALL COST !!

Looking for another welcoming site where we can go for a relaxing weekend without getting hassled and where we can have a laugh without the fear of getting told off.

Whoever took the pictures for this site is a very clever photographer as it was nothing like we had seen on the internet.
We booked our pitch 3 months in advance and on arrival the staff didn't have us booked in luckily I kept my receipt and could prove it hence the last pitch available to us was parked right near the toilets and had constant traffic to toilets/shop etc providing us with no privacy. I have to say this was the worst caravan site I have stayed on and will not be going back and wou ...

At the Holme Valley Camping And Caravan Park the toilets were okay, shop good. Drive full of potholes and if my suspension is damaged they will get a strong letter. Too many vans, not even enough room to sit out! Too many overhanging trees. Will not be going again.

A good site with clean warm showers and toilet block, we have been a few times and overcome the shop assistant by not going in the shop, a good relaxing holiday overall

Really disappointed in this site, so noisy and the showers/toilets were quite dirty. Won't be going again.

How can this campsite be tranquil when it has a road running at either side of it. There are no designated pitches you are just left to find one yourselves which meant people pitched to near to each other.

The showers and toilets were filthy and the noise was left unchecked even though it went on until 2am. It also has a flight path going over it. I couldn't wait to get home. Wouldn't go back there if it was the last place on earth!!

I am quite disgusted that I telephoned to book my friends onto the site and I asked if access was okay for RV's and was told yes. This was not the case.

The date my friends stayed at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park in Holmfirth was from Sunday 3 September 2006 to Friday 8th September 2006.
The motorhome in question was actually scraped on the wall, and this was reported to the lady who was in the office when my friends left.

If the Holme Valley camping and caravan park in Holmfirth wasn't so close to the main road, I would definitely recommend this site, as you can deal with slopping a field etc, but it was just too noisy!

The campsite is located just outside of Holmfirth. There are two fields to pitch tents and an area for caravans. The campsite is clean and it is set in the middle of woodland. A river runs by the site which is nice. It also has a small fishing pond which you can use for a small fee. The site shop is great value for money and some things are cheaper than going to a supermarket. The toilets are very warm and clean, you can have a shower for 25p for 5 mins, the water is usually warm but it is s ...
