    Flight was booked with 1 stop in Atlanta.The 1st plane was late by 30min which in turn made us late for the connecting flight in atlanta.They made absolutley no effort to accomodate us in any way.Did not get another flight until the evening.Worst flying ever.

    After reading some pretty bad reviews about AirTran, I was nervous about my flight to Atlanta on October 2nd. As it turns out, I had nothing to worry about. I was able to check in online. The boarding of the flight was very organized. The seats were very comfortable, flight attendants courteous. My trip to Atlanta and back to NY were both on time. We even got to the destinations early. I would recommend this airline to anyone.

    Outraged. On a flight from Orlando to Las Vegas with a change of planes in Atlanta. They not only changed the gate but a different concourse. We went as fast as we could only to get to the gate and told the plane was ready to take off. Would not let us on. Repeatedly told us it was our fault.This was 1:20 pm. The only other flight they had was 11:00 pm that night. I cannot wait 10+ hours in an airport (medical issues). They were not helpful in assisting us to get another flight out on a differen ...

    I am FURIOUS with this airline! I brought just ONE carry-on bag but was told there was no space at all for it so I had to check it and it would be forwarded to Denver (layover in Atlanta from DC). I did so quickly because the stewardess was rushing to leave and got a hand written receipt (found out later she filled it out incorrectly). When I got to Denver the bag wasn't there and I had to wait around, deal with the baggage claim people and then literally got put out in the cold. It was warm ...

    My issue is not in regard to our flight. We had round trip tickets from Denver to Atlanta. We purchased new tickets thru Airtran for our returning flight to Denver, as our son, had been given leave early. He wanted to get back to Colorado, because his leave was going to be cut short, as he needed to be in Germany sooner than he thought.     My husband and I decided two years ago that we would simply prefer to pay a little bit more to fly on an airline that felt a little bit more quality. "You get what you pay for" running through our minds... This year, we went on a vacation with some extended family, a total of 6 people, and the airline choice was kind of made for us.     The flight attendants and pilots on AirTran Airways were wonderful and cheerful. The ticket agents at the gate did not seem to like their job. The worst thing about them is both flights I took with them left an hour late and they are HORRIBLE about informing travelers about accurate departure times. When the plane arrives at the gate 10 minutes before the posted departure, you would think someone could do the math and change the departure time.

    Wow AirTran, you just love sucking every bit of money out of the customer don't you? Don't fly AirTran, they will charge you heavily just so they can make money off you. I was charged $157 just for two check-ins. Ridiculous! That's twice the cost of my flight ($80.20). DO NOT FLY AIRTRAN.

    AirTran Airways is absolutely the worst airline. My husband flew from Chicago to Atlanta and was supposed to fly from Atlanta to Houston. Due to bad weather in Atlanta, the flight was delayed in Chicago and then when they finally boarded them, they couldnt take off because they didnt have enough flight attendants and had to wait another hour after having already waited for 3 hours.

    I scheduled two business trips in June and both flights were severely delayed. On the second flight, I was scheduled to depart around 7 am and waited several hours to watch the 10 am flight take off at 11 am. I asked why the 7 am folks were not given any sort of priority and they referred me to customer service. Finally, I asked for a refund and after a long pause, they gave me a refund.     Absolutely horrible. And I haven't even gotten on the flight yet! I made my AirTran Airways reservations two months in advance - and they have changed the itinerary THREE times already. When I called to "discuss other options" that were offered on the email, they informed me that the scheduled change was the ONLY flight leaving that day. There was absolutely nothing they could do short of cancelling the entire flight (2 weeks before it was supposed to leave - now every other airline is booked ...

    Did not make connecting flight. Was not allowed to board with AirTran Airways even though plane had not departed. Was not given explanation, apology or refund. Was transfered from idiot to idiot, to world's greatest idiot. Completely dissatisfied.

    AirTran is the worst airline every. I was stuck in Atlanta for 10 hours because of them. My connecting flight left us even though we were there before the 10 minutes prior to depature. We got there late because for some reason my flight going into ATL got delayed and we got there late. My friend and I sprinted across the airport. The lady said she already closed it up.     I expected the worst coming into my flight, but everything was smooth. I flew with Airtran from LGA to milwaukee. The flight was just fine. We even arrived 20 minutes early. Only downside was that they just discontinued giving out headphones.Overall, if Airtran is a lot cheaper than the alternative, go for it!

    Excellent customer service, especially at the Buffalo airport. All flight attendants and other flight staff very friendly and attentive. Always leave and arrive on time! Excellent prices and friendly staff!

    Had a good experience with them, cleaner planes, nicer people. Bad points, Had a good experience with them, cleaner planes, nicer people. Overall, I did not have any problems with Airtran.

    Dismal service. There is something very wrong with the way this airline is run and it's probably at the policy level as most personnel were nice and seemed capable.

    Horribly delayed. Sat on the runway for 3 hours! The only plus, I missed my original flight due to traffic. Flirted with one of the exceptionally cute ladies behind the counter and she bumped me to first in line on the wait list for the next flight. Now all I have are memories of a cute chick while I sit on the runway for another hour.

    I booked on AirTran to attend my friend's college graduation on Saturday in Rochester, NY, leaving from Tampa, FL. The original flight was scheduled for 4pm on Friday, and was cancelled. I was put on standby for the 7pm flight, which was already overbooked by 10. Was put on a 8pm flight to Atlanta, in the hopes that I could get a morning flight to Rochester from there.     After I had ordered my tickets they changed the date and schedule of my ticket and said that they have right to do that.
