Good Points: Towing - fuel economy - when driven sensibly!!, Practical and reliable - just don't be too extreme - if you want extreme - buy a Bowler!!

Bad Points: Mk 4 styling - too much bling . Poor quality side steps. ( the original mark two stainless are more the ticket!

General comments: Had a 2.7 for five years - very reliable - did what it said on the tin!!OK not as stylish as some - but I wanted practical and reliable - so full marks there. The change to the Nissan Terrano SVE 3.0 litre was a culture shock - more power - but also too much bling! I prefer the older styling - but the extra MPG and power make towing a breeze. If you want your car to do the business - maintain it - yes the T 2 range can be expensive to maintain - but only if you do not service them properly.Be a user - not an abuser and the T2 is a great choice. - Just sold a 12 year old for over two grand!!

Although it is alleged to have great capabilities off-road, I have yet to find out. Extra boot seat is very handy. Wood {plastic} dash is dated, and the whole dash on the Nissan Terrano II 3.0di Turbo SVE looks drab for a modern vehicle. I am considering getting a TDV6 Discovery soon.

My Nissan Terrano has been a very reliable machine though the engine and wind noise are something which I have had to get used to. MPG is acceptable though not brilliant and the dash is functional rather than stylish.

The Nissan Terrano II 3.0di Turbo SVE 4x4 can pull 3 tonnes trailed weight from standstill at TICKOVER! Eat my shorts Disco diesels! I have used 90's, rangeys, discos', citroens; nothing in its class or many dearer cars can touch it for slow or motorway pulling .
I love a bit of off road too . I have pulled a freelander and a fronterra out of mud and ruts . Rock crawling is only bettered by the landy 90 / 110 . X5 owners don't count ..they think off road means parking on the kerb !
    It was chea ...
