    Good Points: I have been using the Magellan 700 for 2 years and as far as the unit goes it has performed very well.


    Bad Points: The cradle is prone to cut off power,and the windshield mount is not very good quality


    General comments: Does a great job of navigating me around. very good speech and gives plenty of time for turns.Display is as good as it gets

    Worked great for about 2 years. Then started to lose the satellite. Terrible to be on a trip and then lose your GPS. Just goes off into space and leaves you helpless.

    I could not recommend the Magellan 700 series, despite the fact that for a short period it was an impressive system which worked equally well in the UK and throughout Europe.

    I cannot recommend the Magellan 700 Roadmate.When it works it is fantastic but has worked for only short periods of time.Customer service is terrible.I have sent in for repairs and it has been returned to me twice with the same or worse problems.

    Do not buy this Magellan RoadMate 700. When unit stopped working only people to call were in India and they were unhelpful. After sending in unit for repairs it was not repaired on 2 seperate occasions and each time worse than before. I have been without the unit for 4-8 weeks and it was given to me as a brand "new" gift 5 months ago.
