    Ive been with Barclays for 38 years and there was a time I didnt mind paying a premium for the Barclays brand. However, they now offer third world products and third world service. I am sure our friends in the sub continent are very honest and competent BUT I dont want to talk about my personal finances with them. It took 3 months to get my mortgage payments right and a complaint investigation take 2 months. They cant get anything right first time and will charge you an arm and a leg for products you may not need.
    I can no longer afford to pay Barclays city bonuses so I am in the process of shutting all my business down with them and moving elsewhere. I know they dont care but I feel great about it!!

    Ive had this Barcalys additions account for a little while now and overall im please with it. I regestered all my cards - really easy and piece of mind when you go on holiday that you can canel them all if lost with one call. I also used the breakdown service twice last year and again I felt the service was good and easy to use. Never used to emergency home service for boiler breakdowns etc so cant really comment on that but to be honest im not sure i would want someone working on my boiler who ...

    From the moment I called the 24hour emergency line... disappointment!
    I had a water leak from the boiler so called them up, they sent a plumber not a corgi registered engineer. I was told Corgi registered engineer will come next day... left water leak as it was. This was 24 hour EMERGENCY service.
    Corgi Reg. Engineer attends next day he looks at the boiler and says he cant repair it and leaves, did not stop water leak. I called up Additions plus and they informed me that engineer who attends a ...

    Their service is really poor for me, at one point I was put on hold for 45 mins, on their 0845 number.

    I was also promised that they would come to fix my boiler within 24 hours but no one turned up. And then it was mission impossible to get through to them again on the premium rate number.

    Every benefit of the Barclays Additions bank account was awful! I don't want to write a will thank you!

    I was told I would save with this account. I just wasted my money, and the service I received when I wanted to downgrade was awful. I even got called a boy, which is another story! I closed my account and moved to NatWest!!
