    hi every one

ive had are mitsubishi canter now for 10 years
cant really say a bad word about it except the gear box can be bad at times but just had a new one fitted after 200,000 miles
its a 7.5 tonne lorry and only weights in at 3.2 tonne on the weigh bridge so can hold 4.25 tonne which is better than any other 7.5 tonner on the road and today we went to the dump and we weighted in at 9.8 tonnes so has over 6.5 tonne up the back but it didnt even struggle one bit and didnt even look overloaded these lorrys are so good i dont ever want to get rid of ours just goin to keep it as long as possible and would recommend to everyone how good these lorrys are
many thanks for reading hope this helps

I've had Canters since 2000 and currently have 7 ranging from 03 plates to 06 plates with 2 new ones on order and have had very little vaults compared
to other makes of pickups i run like a 54 plate transit 135 that had 2 full fuel systems and 1 engine with only 9500 miles on the clock plus various other problems. Although the transit and iveco pickups might be a more comfortable driving van there is nothing that comes even close to a canter for being an out and out work horse.

This truck is so bad that I thought there must be a fault in the manufacture. Apparantly not. Gearbox bad, steering bad. Ride comfort simply horrendous.

Bought new Mitsubishi Canter c311 march 08, had it two days, went for a new control unit, off the road 6 weeks. Had truck back but it pulls, as though there is a fuel pump problem, dealer mechanic thought so too as this did not happen when we did a 120 mile journey before the control unit problem, but now they cannot find anything wrong with it on diagnostics so reached a stand off and its not done 300 mile in total as yet. Have insisted on a third party overview and am now worried as we have an ...

The Mitsubishi Canter has probably the worst fuel economy of any truck of this size. Poor dealer network. The dealership that sold me my Canter cannot or will not rectify the fuel problem. It's got a three year warranty great but they had my vehicle for weeks and just made it worst, then I had to send it back and they only put it back to how it was. Still only 11-12 to the gallon driven carefully. Pretty boring cab. Very good on tyres though.

We would buy the Mitsubishi Canter again if mitsubishi - Mercedes updated the truck, offering airbags, ABS, LSD and even 4x4 which is offered in some worldwide markets.
Mercedes have not really got serious about marketing and supporting the Canter; you feel a bit of a poor relation on service visits even though the work is carried out ok.
