    Finnair s**ks
    I will never use them again it's better to pay an extra $1000.00 a ticket
    customer service is at the bottom my luggage has been sitting in Helsinki
    for 3-days now and I can't get any information on when I will get it
    this is because the plane was 2 small to fit all the luggage so better than half of the people on the plane did not get any luggage and Finnair don't give a s**t about it they can stick thir airline up their a** they suck!

    I rate Finnair as a cheap and nasty airline! Yes, when booking it seemed tempting to book something that is $150-$300 cheaper. But you do notice the lack of service and food on your journey. I requested a kids meal for my child, and was told that kids meals were only offered to Business Class Passengers and that I could substitute her meal for a vegetarian or a low carb option, when I asked for kids headphones, there was none available, when you are in the air for 11-12 hours those sorts of t ...

    I was to flight to Savonlina for a conference yesterday but due to road problems I arrived at the check-in counter at Heathrow airport for my first flight to Helsinki with a mere 3 min delay at 9.37 am for my 10.20 flight. Actually, I was there when the person at the counter closed down and she personally denied me to board. Going at the Finnair counter they said they would try to board me to the next flight and I should come back at 3pm. Yet, coming back at 3pm the person at the counter neglect ...

    my Finnair trip ..was above average ..

    one of the few European airlines offering , good hot meals and free beer and wine in economy ...not bad at all.
    good service
    good meal
    clean and tidy aircraft.

    Flew with Finnair in January 2009. London to Tokyo, via Helsinki, and back. Unbeatable value, compared to other carriers, £435 return. Aircraft from Finland to Japan was Airbus 340 both ways. Delayed for an hour in Helsinki (on plane) during outward flight whilst engines and wings were de-iced; mind you, it was -9 degrees outside. Even so, still arrived at destination on time.     Terrible experience flying Helsinki to Osaka. Finnair seems to be a very low quality airline. Both staff and crew were unprofessional at best, including the captain who seemed barely capable to communicate in English (must be the only Finn).To make a long story short we took off with a 5+ hour delay, including waiting 2 and a half hours inside the plane. One of the emergency exits refused to close and several technical people were trying to fix the problem on the spot. Not for the faint of heart ...

    I have flown three times with Finnair (Beijing-Barcelona and vice-versa):
    1. January 21th 20007
    2. December 4th 20083. January 11th 2008and I never made it on time -with delays ranging from 10 to 24 hours-. According to airliner, the problems were mainly due to technical problems with the aircraft-. I think Finnair should sort out the problems with delays!
    Needless to say, I will never fly with them again.

    LHR-HEL-DEL. Finnair is an excelent airline, I have been flying over 10 airlines to Delhi but you can't beat Finnair. The food is just Wow!!!!!!!! The connections in Helsinki are very fast. It is also the second safest airline in the world. I will definitely fly with this airline again and again. EXCELLENT

    I booked a flight to Thailand online and everything seemed fine. As per usual I received a confirmation email congratulating me on booking my flight. A couple of weeks later I realised the money hadn't been taken off my credit card so I rang Finn Air's office in London.It was then I spoke to the rudest (female) customer service person in the world who told me the payment wasn't processed for some reason and she told me that I must have been emailed.     Warm meals including good wines also on European routes. Fast connections from Europe to China, Japan, South Korea and India via Helsinki hub.
    Finnair are excellent value for money

    I strongly recommend this airline. It 's the second safest in the world. When you step on board a Finnair plane you feel welcome & safe. I think it 's worth the money. I have flown with Finnair about seven times. Nice atmosphere, very clean-looking cabins, nice video screens that show the flight route. Good movies & flight radio.     I have travelled on a number of budget airlines but when it comes to cost versus comfort, Finnair is my favourite.

    Finnair cabin crew are slow and emotionless.
    What strikes the most is 4 euros for sandwich which we expected to get for free considering the price of the airfare, 1 euro for small bottle of water.
    So you are offered one meal during eight hours flight. Not even mentionining 5 euros for small beer.

    Flight JFK - HEL was cancelled and Finnair did not inform me. I arrived too late at the destination to attend the event to which I was traveling. The flight home was changed to the following day. Finnair did not inform me. Flight VNO - HEL was delayed, and I missed my connection HEL - JFK. Finnair refused to rebook me on another airline out of VNO. I flew to HEL.     Lousy service and poor baggage allowance!! Flying Finnair From China to Oslo I was only allowed to bring 20kg (checked in and carry on baggage in total). I have tried to confront the airline company here in Oslo with the case, and they say that's it. Most other airlines allow you to check-in 20kg, and carry on 8kg.

    So the money I saved on the ticket I payed back in overweight baggage charges.

    Finnair is a quality airline, service is great and friendly and they are punctual. If travelling from Europe to Asia, this is my choice.
