    con job. They lie on the phone and take months to sort out. In the end had to get the plates from somewhere else as they would not send them out. they said it would take 10 days to send so when tried to cancel they said they were custom and couldnt cancel under distance selling. they even told me that if i got plates from somewhere esle i would be breaking the law!! It cost me almost as much as the plates in phone bills to them. you cannot email and they dont answer letters. how this company is ...

    i used new reg .com and never again they were non existance except on the premium telephone line and when i did get through the pound a minute they kept putting me on hold for very long periods of time to so called checking paper work my total phone bill for this line only was 235 pounds be aware be aware

    I bought a new registration off newreg.com last week and have recieved my certificate and plates already. EXCELENT SERVICE! wold recomend to all!

    Never again. This was such a slow process with so little contact. I would not feel safe doing this again with New Reg. Too much can go wrong and did go wrong!

    Paid £837 for daughters plate to Newreg.com and then £25 to a Po Box address at DVLA? for an extension to the assignment of the plate (as informed on the back of their certificate) until she is 17 in Jan 09. Noticed the cheque to DVLA was not cashed after 3 weeks so contacted Newreg ( premium rates) and informed it must have been rejected (but no reason) They have now asked for a cheque for £55 for the extension and need this within 7 days of Plate will be void.     Bought the number plate from new reg, took 2 months to get the V750 document. They wanted proof of Identity and so I sent them an email asking what ID they wanted and they replied with 'Ring our premium rate number'. I sent a couple more emails and had the same reply and so I sent an angry email saying what's the point in an Aftersales email address if all you do is tell me to ring the premium rate number - which is funny because they've now removed the aftersales email address - but with this c ...

    Extremely quick to point out you must ring premium phone number for admin enquiries!
    Cheap maybe... but you will pay the price with premium rate phone calls!

    If any problem was the price paid, however you dont have to buy if you dont like the price. A trouble free transfer of number plate details in less than a week. I have no bad points to tell.

    I sold Newreg my girlfriend's number plate. It took months to sort out, many premium rate phone calls along with emails and letters not to mention stress.
    Their administration procedures were woeful; they were unhelpful many times on the phone. I wouldn't take time out of my busy day to write a negative review about a company unless my experience was that bad!
    There are many other bad things that have happened during the transfer of my number plate via this company but there are too many negativ ...

    I tried newreg.com and regtransfers.co.uk to look for a private registration plate and was suprised to find differences in prices for the same registration plates. The plate I queried was £5,995 on newreg.com and £7,495 on regtransfers.co.uk. As this is only one example, it may be that sometimes regtransfers is cheaper.

    Pages load in reasonable time but not as quickly as regtransfers.co.uk.

    I recommend you try them both as you will get a lot more choices that way. ...
