Good Points: 0% balance transfer in 2006.

    Bad Points: See below...

General comments: Since Chase became involved with AOL, they changed the payment dates so that customers would lose their 0% balance transfer rate, because their payment would be due two or three days sooner. As a result, in my case, the 0% was taken away, and a hefty interest charge was added. I was charged $404.56 in interest, and a $39 late charge because they changed my payment due date from 2/12/07 to 2/7/07. As I made my payment from my monthly repeating Chase online account, my payment went out on the date I was originally given, when I made the 0% balance transfer of $34,500.00 on October 11, 2006. I programmed all those dates into my online account on October 11, only to be surprised by a change in payment dates instituted by Chase on my February 2007 statement.

For this reason I do not recommend either the AOL credit card or Chase. My 35 year relationship is about to end with Chase.

The AOL Credit Card is a good way to reduce internet provider costs.
