    Well, i have owned my 306 xsi for at least 5 years. Had 3 VW golf gti's 5 Audi coupe and quattro's and various other BMW and german cars. Im sorry to have to say that my 306 xsi has been and still is the most fun to drive out of all of them without a doubt! I dont know exactly what was wrong with other folks 306's here on this forum but its giving me 40mpg on a run and about 27 urban. Never had a fuel consumption issue, never had any reliability issues.

    The ONLY vehicles i have ever spent tons ...

    Well I have owned this car for almost a year now, Had 92k when i bought it and now has 100k. This xsi has never let me down! Started everytime cold or hot, For a 2.0 16v i think the fuel consumption isnt too bad and it handles well and is quick for a 11 year old car. Back legroom isnt great but it is a 3 door hatch. boot is a good size and it has all the toys, aircon and electrics, etc. Overall Peugot 306 is a good car for me.

    My little Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi has to be the best car i have ever owned......and i have had a fair few. It has never let me down..still only done 54000 mls and interior still looks new, despite the dog and the kids i taxi around. Was a bit sluggish for a while, but changed wheels a couple of times ( 17's slow it down) 16's with low profiles are amazing. had new cat, middle box and cleaned it through with redex!! Now pulls and rags around like sh used to. Was never a pug fan before, but she won me ...

    I have just bought a 1998 306 xsi 2.0 fsh, 80,000, new starter motor and bought from a peugeot mechanic with 15 years experience so all been cleaned up, bought for £460 needed tax £102(6 months which is prob the worst part) Drove the car a couple of times as still got ma test to do on this month but first impressions are really good didn't find to sluggish once picks up the revs, can't see how the lad with the MK2 golf can say so any bad things as he obviouslty dont take the weight i ...

    I recently bought my Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi and so far i think i have a great little car, its pretty quick to sixty, handles really well and it makes a lovely noise that makes you want to go faster and it has good amount of space for my daughter and her buggy (keeps the mrs sweet) fuel consumption is a bit harsh but on the otherhand i didnt buy a 2.0 and expect 50-60 mpg. my friend owned the car before me and i know he has had problems with the shocks mainly on the rear having them replaced twice. ...

    Awful car, wouldn't have another one if it was given to me for free. I wouldn't suggest aPeugeot 306 to anyone other than someone who is looking to attract police attention. 206's are much better and look far less 'I think im a gangster with my clubland music'. Was impossible to find a decent enough spare part when I had the car for only a week which is why I got rid of the damn thing!     I have an HDI. Superb economy (5.2l/100km round town, better on trip), powerful performance and fine handling (though sensitive to tyres). Comfortable and reliable. Still looks good!

    Had the p plate Peugot 306 2.0 xsi 8v and i think a slug is faster could not wait to get rid of it.

    Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi has fast acceleration and very good handling in the dry.

    Great var gor money does what its supposed to and more. Could do with 6 speed box but would then need uprated brakes too.

    i have a 2.0 Peugeot 306 with 180bhp and i think that the car is amazing is very powerfull and really nice to drive, is good to handle it and is fast.

    I have just been doing a bit of reading, as 2 of my friends have bought Peugeot 306's. One of them bought an XSi (the 16v) and another, the GTi-6.
    I have driven both, and the GTi-6 was not bad, however I was not impressed to much by the XSi, I did expect more from a 2.0 16v.
    I own a few cars but my daily runabout is a MK3 Astra Sport with KONI's, etc and I fitted a C18XE engine I had laying about (1.8 16v from GSi). Have a few small mods to the engine. But I was surprised just how much slower m ...

    This a very fast car, a few small mods and my 2001 xsi will do 0-62 in 7 seconds and will handle as well as a scooby. I cannot fault the drive in the slightest.
    This is a great sporty litttle car - I would reccomend to anyone!

    I want to put a bigger back box on to make it sound nice but I've no gap in the rear panel below the bumper for the new tailpipe to stick out!
    Has anybody else delt with this prob please?
    It's a 2.0xsi 1998 3dr ..............thank's.

    xsi 2.0 16v, Pulls like hell even with a seriously slipping clutch!! Getting it done today only got it yesterday (leaking box drive shaft seal) 80,000 on the clock, fpsh, all electrics, 745! and the3 best thing about it is...... 243 fully comp protected! Cheap Cheap Cheap!
    Buy one of these now, stick a single box decat system on it, get it re-mapped, and hold on tight.

    I love my Peugeot 306 xsi, it looks tidy and is easy to maintain and keep looking nice. I love the acceleration with the xsi, and the fact that they're a low insurance group. Also you don't see many around.

    i had a 1997 p plate 8v Peugeot 306 loved it to bits bright red I put 17" alloys on it, it was my pride n joy only prob was not as quick as id hoped ive got kids so 3dr gti6 not an option sadly but overall was best car I ever had for a small sporty car its got the lot!!!

    I have has a 2.0 xsi, they are slow.... and this is a 1998 car! I now have a Golf mk2 gti with 112,000 on the clock, goes like stink! Very fast, *RELIABLE*.. and a better, more simplistic build quality that overules all French cars.... if you decide to get a car, make sure its German.... or Japanese...
    VEE DUBS are the best and, if you hate them....... read this.......
