Cost me £450, yes thats right £450 for a 1 owner 2.0 tddi. Ive now covered 3000 miles since i bought it 2 months ago so now she has 223000miles. Runs perfect, blanked off egr valve which improved flat spots and releases power. All in all a lovely car at a lovely price.

Have been driving Japanese car all my life and wanted a change for once an bought a brand new Ford Mondeo Estate (2003). In terms of comfort, you can beat the mondeo. Mine is fully serviced by the dealer throughout these years hoping to keep it until it reaches its 20th B'day ... wishful thinking ... now I know.
2005 (43 000 km)- The crankshaft pully failed. Since Mondeo are designed for cold countries (mine is hot), the design of the pully was rubbish for this country. Got it changed to a revi ...- Read keretakulawa's review (331 words)

This is my second review of the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDi 115 LX 5dr nd fair to say it nearly went when had issues and now glad it didn't. Ticked past the 190,000 mark today and has few probs, turbo whistles, clutch is dead, abs likes to go skits, my dodgy rims nd tyres keep going flat, suspension and bushes have been diagnosed as worn, handbrakes kinda faded and I still wanna keep it i like it that much. I used 5 series bmw for a month and day to day the mondeos better. It just laps up the abuse and ...- Read wakaday's review (235 words)

Love this car to bits its my baby I have the 2lt tddi 115 but have tweked it to give me 125bhp and I still get 50mpg but I can get it down to 15mpg so be careful if you modify any of it but very happy with trim. Cheap tax 145 12 months.
But the beast thing is when some stubid boy racer pulls up next to you and you leave him standing and all you can do is giggle.- Read Guest's review (111 words)

Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDi 115 LX saloon I've had this car as a taxi and done over 250000 mls the best taxi I've had. Never spent money until 200000 then started to cost me money still drives well. Now turbo has started to whine but I'm away to replace with exchange one.
I would recomend anyone to buy this car with 100000 mls or less on it all in all good car.- Read Guest's review (92 words)

I got the estate version of the Ford Mondeo, which was a family car for about 3 years the I got it recently as my first car. And must say, I € m impressed. I've found if you drive like a cabby it's pretty gd on the juice but in my first week it did drink it, worked out it did 26mpg but now getting around 50mpg so all good. Mines done over 175,000 and still runs fine, really grips well if you chuck it about and engine doesn't get upset if you do give it some abuse now and again. All in all good c ...- Read wakaday's review (111 words)

I had one of these. The dual mass clutch fell apart after 6 months. Ccar never really ran right as it spluttered all the time. Eventually after 75Kmiles the diesel pump packed in taking the whole fuel system with it. Serious expense. 3 months out of warranty after having full Ford service. Ford warranty didn't want to know. Will never, ever buy a Ford again.- Read slbrook's review (70 words)

I've driven 175000 miles in my '01 tdci Ford Mondeo; it € s a great car to drive, pulls like a train out of roundabouts and handles ridiculously easily. It € s comfy for five adults and loads of luggage, it € s quite economical, but not staggeringly so. It has been cheap-ish to run; I did about the same mileage on a Mk2 1.8TD Mondeo which was REALLY cheap to run!
I've had a few probs, but nothing major yet.
The repairs so far are as follows:

Great car love it, sharp handling the ride is a bit hard but still somehow is very comfy even after a long dive.
Drive it correctly it will do 55 60 mpg on a run while still retaining 40 mpg around town. But being a 16v engine drive it hard and the mpg will drop to 30 ish around town.
If you want a good family car the Mondeo is a good drivers choice!- Read Guest's review (104 words)

I love driving this car, and with over 50mpg on a run its very cheap motoring. Yes it does go wrong, but being a Ford parts are quite cheap compare to a BMW say.
Although the engine is quite nosiey compare to the tdci its still good, and it holds the speed on the motorways easy.
The only thing i don't like is the clutch, its very odd and takes ages to get use to.
Overall thumbs up!!!

I bought a 2002 (52 plate) Mondeo TDDI LX 115bhp in august 2005. It had 40000 miles on the clock at this time. Since then I've done over 35,000 miles. These have been mainly commuting in and around Glasgow but have also included numerous trips into the Scottish Highlands on demanding A and B roads and a couple of holidays to the French Alps. (around 3000 miles in 2 weeks).
During this time the only major repair was the rear wheel bearing which needed replaced (200 to repair and at 60,000 ...- Read Burnsy's review (405 words)

I bought the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDi 115 LX 5dr car with 16K on the clock as a towing vehicle but after about 1200 miles of towing over the last 17 months, the clutch is almost shot and not apparently covered by the warranty. Although the car is recommended by various caravan magazines as an ideal tower, the main dealers I visited reckon that any such use will damage the clutch and invalidate any potential claim under warranty. Told by them if I tow a caravan again the clutch will fail. Also told t ...- Read maesderw's review (183 words)

I did 70,000 miles in this as a company car. The engine was great and it was a good car to drive.
It had been back to the main dealers TWICE by the time it had done 120 miles due to central locking problems. It would either not lock or unlocks by itself. Plus all the windows stuck open. This was NEVER resolved. I could return to the car having locked it to find it unlocked, occasionally with all the windows open too. This might not happen for about 3 months, then it could happen 3 or 4 times in ...- Read jeff122's review (381 words)

I have owned this car for around 3 years now and bought it with 85K on the clock and the only thing that has needed to be changed is the rear subframe bushes after a year, recently a front coil spring and top suspension bearing. It never fails to start, and never complains or struggles when the boot is full to busting, with the rear seats down it offers a massive load carrying space.
It has surprised more expensive powerful cars on several occasions.
If I was to swop it, it would be for th ...- Read darren115's review (185 words)
