Good Points: Excellent drive for a standard family car, very comfortable and cost effect. one of the safest cars around.

Bad Points: Security is a joke. My car was broken into by ripping out the lock in the drivers handle. The boot lock was opened by pressing the internal boot catch. My laptop and other items were easily stolen from the boot. I had been attending a company talk, and there had been 12 mondeos parked up together. Each car had been broken into the same way and items stolen from the boot. The alarm did not go off on any vehicle. This needs addressing. unable to read clock at night.

General comments: Overall I am very impressed with the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Ghia X Est 5-Tronic. The security and clock need addressing, these points spoil what should be one of the best value for money cars around.

Quite a pleasure to drive except for the wind noise in your ear. The fuel computer sets a challenge to try and achieve a reasonable fuel consumption, but this is impossible. Even driving at speeds so slow that your granny would get impatient, the best consumption is around 30 to 32 miles per gallon, and as a diesel driver that is just not acceptable.
