Good Points: Beautiful site amongst mature trees next to Dordogne. Very well maintained site with good service blocks with plenty of hot water. The swimming pool was the best we have come across with plenty of loungers. Takeaway was a bit limited to it's menu but reasonable price the bar was well stocked and owners very friendly.
Bad Points: The mosquito's were a continual nuisance.
General comments: Lovely site situated in a quite road on river opposite picturesque village of Port Limeuil. Some lovely walks and cycle rides nearby and plenty of bird watching (kites especially) and small villages nearby. Two towns nearby when shopping for essentials. The village across the river was very limited in what was on offer an only really had one bar, one bakers and two restaurants, one very expensive. Definitely better facilities than the 3* suggests you will get, more like 4*+. Some shady plots which you would need in heat of summer but also some open sites for early or late holiday makers. Lots of people seem to return here year after year as it seems little known. We will certainly be going back at some time.
