Good Points: On the uptempo tracks LL delivers. On its Time for war LL calls out those who have concluded that LL is no longer relivant. The best by far is the bonus track New York, New York where LL tells all the pretenders to his throne that hes back and they need to give up the crown. Although LL doesn't mention Jay Z and Nas by name does anyone really wonder who hes talking about? Other tracks that make this album great include Feel My Heart Beat, Rocking With the Goat, Dear Hip Hop, Old School New School, and Get over Here.
Bad Points: The Album is to middle of the road, and LL doesn't mention anyone in his battle rhymes by name which takes away the impact of his lines. In all other forms of music, you have to cross over to reach iconic staus. In Hip Hop crossing over means that even if you put some hardcore hip hop tracks on the album, some of it has to have cross over appeal. This is where the album struggles. LL would be foolish not to include I Fall In Love, And Cry because these type of song appeal to ladies, which at this point are is largest base. The problem with this is these few song will give haters the ammo they need to pretend they didn't notice the rest of the album, which will go down as a classic.
General comments: Name any other Artist who has more than 5 albums under his belt who can still put out classic material after 20 plus years in the game. This album is great. Should go down as a classic. People are gonna say that LL wants to be considered the G.O.A.T. but doesn't put out music to support this claim. The point their argument leaves out is the fact that LL changed the game over 20 years ago, and has been a chart topper every since. The unfairly gauge LL with the same scale thats used on Nelly, Lil Wayne, T-Pain and other "hot right now" rappers who will fade away the moment their brand of rap isn't on the radio or on BET in constant rotation. LL is different. He is to T-Pain what Michael Jackson is to Chris Brown. There simply is no comparison in terms of impact, and skills.

Exit 13 opens up with a hot typical LL track ripping the mic like no one else ....from that point he takes you on a rollercoster ride of hot tracks that only the 'Goat' can do! Great production on the beats as well as hot lyrics show why uncle L is still the man. I haven't found any bad points yet and from his last three albums I'm really suprised. LL has found himself again and you can see the desire in this album. LL is a lyrical Beast!- Read Guest's review (88 words)
