A Child Trust Fund was opened for my Grandson. I sent off a Direct Debit form to pay a monthly sum into his account. This form was not actioned in September or October 2009. I phoned Legal & General and they said there was insufficient information on the DD form. Why was I not informed of this!? They then requested a letter with all the details, including bank details. This was done and after a month I enquired why my DD had not been actioned this time. They confirmed they had received my letter, but this was insufficient as a DD form needed to be included with it ( I was not informed of this). My letter had been rejected, again why was I not informed!! I then had to wait 10 mins to be transferred to their forms department!! I gave up in the end - Brentford just has no idea how a professional financial institution should be run. I own shares in L & G, but will now suggest my broker sells them!
