When asking what interest rate my Isa had been reduced to, I was sent illiterate and illogical replies.
In April I attempted to transfer my Isas to Halifax.
Birmingham Midshires sent my money to their own Barclays account (?!!!)instead of Halifax, where it sat losing me my interest until Halifax tracked it down and it arrived in the correct account on 22nd July 2009.
B'ham Midshires has lost me 3 months of interest.
They should have an automatic system in place for compensation when these delays occur instead of leaving it to the customer to investigate the problem and claim back their lost money.

My wife's transfer into our Birmingham Midshires Cash ISA took a week and mine took 3 months. Lost Post? maybe and maybe not. Just like the above comment, they are accessible and understandable.

It took 3 months to transfer an ISA from RBS to Birmingham Midshires. (My husbands was transferred in one week). This may have been the fault of RBS but it would have been useful if B'ham Mid had kept an eye on the transfer so that I did not have to keep phoning to check that the transfer was happening.
They are also slow at confirming that our Isas have been set up.
