Well, what can I say. I was very excited about going to the cinema to watch the latest Bond. I've been watching Bond movies at the cinema for over 30 years now.

By far the worst Bond film I've ever seen.

The plot was just ridiculous, the acting wooden and even the special effects and gizmos were a let down.

Its such a shame as this new team showed really good promise - I've no idea what happened with this film, but they should have realised at the point that they had the script that it was an absolute turkey.

Its really put me off Bond films moving forwards.

I've only given it 2 stars instead of 1 because there were a couple of OK action scenes, but I came out of the cinema wishing I could get back those lost minutes of my life.

    Avoid!

Quantum Of Solace is the extension of previous bond film Casino Royale. Before the title song bond involved in regular action and it is the only scene worth to watch. The title song appears as same as previous bond films with gun ,bond and models. The first betrayed scene identifies blacksheep in the intelligence organisation. With several injuries some official escapes from there.Bond takes the assignment to catch the international criminals who having hide outs in some part of the world. But he hol ...

The movie is a one time see and lacks the of action scenes except for a car chase or so. Might have been even better if bond had left the past behind.....

This is the movie to watch if all you want to see if explosions, but not even that is something to look forward to as they are few and far between.

Nice visual reference to a classic death scene from Goldfinger! The entire final hotel destruction sequence near the end was very Zabriski Point, I thought. Liked the more extensive use of Judy Densch as M.

A perfect sequel for this new bond genre, you must see the first film, Casino Royale, to understand.

Most of the comments on this movie seem to come from a bunch of snooty self appointed movie critics. All in all the movie was great. The plot line was complex enough that it kept you thinking and the whole premise was realistic and kept with realistic enemies. I thought this movie was a great change from the old bond movies. This Bond was more like Jason Bourne than leisure suit larry. As for the girls i give them a 10.

If they are not careful, Bond will transform himself into Rambo. Can't take away all the tradition from the movies.

I thought Quantum Of Solace was dull and boring, with a bad script. Worst ever Bond movie with a considerably lower budget.

Quantum of Solace if the first true "sequel" to a Bond movie. The film picks up minutes after Casino Royale ended, and is a little more "Bondian" in that the pre-credit sequence features a car chase (a not to Samuel Goldwyn's advice to start a move with a volcanic eruption and work up to a climactic ending), but seems a shame that we end up in another on-foot chase sequence within a matter of minutes (too similar to the chase in Casino Royale and too soon after the car chase).I'll not spoil the ...

They decided to push the release date back, eager to make more money during the "Holiday Season", which in turn, raised people's anticipation level for the film. Regrettably, many individuals were sorely disappointed. This film failed to deliver in true 007 style. The flick did not impact me at all. I wasn't on the edge of my seat, my lower jaw was firmly in place, and my eyes were not bulging out of my skull. Wait until the film comes out on video, then borrow it from a friend.

I feel obligated to bring a positive look to this film seeing as most of the reviews are decidedly negative so here's my take on what I consider a pretty decent movie.
"Quantum of Solace" is a great action film. Daniel Craig is a great action star. The problem for this movie it would seem is the fact that this is not your dad's James Bond. There is no ubervillian that uses cartoonish methods for world domination which Bond thwarts using the gadgets created by Q. This Bond faces a consortium of ...

Top notch action scenes, great continuance from Casino, great ending, what's not to like. Craig is the best Bond yet. I hope we see many more of them yet.

This was not the same sort of film as Casino Royale. This was a traditional Bond movie with car chases, crashes, lots of dead bodies, nonsensical plot (controlling water in Bolivia- hotels exploding), too young girls for Bond. (Much more intriquing was Matthis girl-friend). Why does Bond have to make out with school girl types. Last film so popular with women because it did NOT have all above and had some emotional depth. Really, really disappointed in Just Another Bond film. Craig gorgeous so w ...

I am a big bond fan just like many of you. I can watch any bond film without a problem. Connery, Roger, Pierce, and Craig, I love them all as 007. There is just something about bond films that I get excited and mesmerized by. Anyway, I really think that Quantum is a huge huge huge disappointment. I am still confused about why in the world and the hell they hired Marc Foster to direct this movie and what the hell he has done to the Bond Franchise. At one point, I couldn't believe this was a bond ...

This 007 flick is certainly not what you might expect as a true Bond fan. Daniel Craig is great as a new 'rugged 'Bond but he doesn't let anyone know he is Bond, James Bond. The start of the film looks very promising with a great car chase where is Aston gets a hammering, but true A.M. car fans will be very disappointed that this is the only occasion he will drive his trademark transport. Believe it or not, but he finds himself driving a Ford Focus hire car and (of all cars) a Range Rover! Yuck. ...

Very disapointing. No gadgets. No cars. No story. Bond girls and badies highly forgettable. What were they thinking. The type of filming makes the stunts unwhatchable. Suggest they watch Batman: The Dark Knight and take in how it should be done.

Well, I would agree with the majority of the wise critics in this forum - and reassuringly I find that most of most points have already been raised (I was worried I had become a Grumpy Old Man for a second!).
Q.O.S really does not deliver on a number of classic Bond fronts; savvy script / overly exaggerated but equally believable world domination plot (clearly explained) / complex evil oozing villian / Gadget fuelled fun to mention but a few.
That said the areas it will satisfy are the typical ...

I agree with some of the reviews above, Quantum Of Solace was very disappointing after Casino Royale. Although there was a lot of action, it was difficult to watch (choppy) and there was no beautiful scenery, glamour, humour, memorable baddy etc. I could have done it better myself!
