Bad Points: Waste of time

General comments: I applied for a loan, good credit rating, stable employment (25 years) stable address (25 years) no mortgage, no dependents, good joint income - rejected "did not meet the criteria". Then contacted by Freedom Finance offering me loans at nearly double the rate having been passed the details by "Virgin" - not sure where they came into it as YourPersonalLoans appears to be owned by the Co-Op and has nothing to do with Virgin.

This scenario seems quite common - rejection for no obvious reason then contacted by a broker.

Don't bother wasting your time filling the form in as it places a 'hit' on your credit score.

Think your onto a winner then nope. I was told I was provisionally accepted and about half an hour later received an email stating i had been turned down. however we have passed your details to other loan providers who might be able to help. Then I got a barrage of phone calls from 3-4 different loan companies all offering loans with stupidly high interest rates.

I applied for a loan with yourpersonalloan as they had the best rate of 7.6%. I had already had an pplication accepted by another bank on a slightly higher rate but wanted to get the best deal. 2 days after i applied i recieved a call from Freedom Finance informing me I had been turned down by youpersonalloan and that they would now search the market to find us the next best deal.

I applied for a loan from Your Personal Loan.co.uk today with their headline rate of 7.6% APR, having just been accepted by another company for a similar loan. Within hours I got an email advising that I had been turned down but that I would be contacted by their brokers, Freedon Finance, to discuss "other options". I spoke to the broker, who confirmed that there was no way he could get that rate of 7.6%APR (not just for me, but for any customer) but he would be happy to see what offer he could ...

I applied for a loan on a monday. I received an email to say that it had accepted subject to further checks. It said you can expect a call within 3 working days. I have heard no more!!! There is no contact number on the website and no return email facility!

6 days on no reply so far... Not sure whether I should apply else where or wait !!!!!!!
