Mothercard Are Absolutely Chronically Bad. I have actually thrown my phone across the room in frustration when trying to make a payment! I can't ever get hold of an actual human being.

I was put through to an automated service that told me my details were wrong (they weren't), I typed them in again and again until it finally accepted them and then it just cut off. Started again, cut off again. Started again, automatic voice asked me if I wanted to speak to an advisor, if so press one, so I did and was cut off again. I ended up with a £12 charge for a late payment because I couldn't get through to them.

This has happened every time I have tried to make a payment over the phone, every month. I tried to make an online payment, but couldn't register as it said my details were wrong (again, they weren't). Yet if you're a day or so late with payment they ring you up to 5 times a day, every day, for payment.

Most recently they said I couldn't use my card as they didn't have any of my details, but they had been sending statements to my address with my account details on them!! They said they would let me know when they had my details, and requested I went to my local Mothercare and fill in the application form all over again. I did, and had no response from Mothercard (Santander). I went back to my local Mothercare and the only way I could find out if it was working again (because, of course, I could not get through to a human on the helpline) was to buy something to see if it was working again!!!

I am paying off my balance asap. Save yourself from high blood pressure.

    Do. Not. Get. This. Card.

After opening a Mothercare account and placing an order online, I received an e-mail the next day telling me the order had been cancelled and that there was a problem with my card.
I therefore rang GE capita (who issue the card) who told me that as far as they were concerned there was no problem with the card as I could go ahead and order.
I then rang back mother care who re-submitted the order, apparently with no problem
The next day I then received a letter from mothercare saying that again my ...
