    Booked a week in Sharm El Sheikh in November, thru' Directline. Everything fine until arrival at our chosen hotel (The Sierra), which had not received our booking. The next 2 hours on the phone where the attitude (Directline, and Hotel Connect who apparently were responsible for not booking our hotel) seemed to be an unconvincing "sorry, but we will put you into a better hotel- The Hilton".
    The local rep arrived and took us to the Hilton. Certainly not convinced that the failure to book the Sierra was, in any way, an oversight! We hated the Hilton. Too big, too far to the beach, and poor food. Holiday ruined. Certainly won't use Directline, or Hotel Connect, again and wouldn't recommend to others. Needless to say, despite contacting them on return, no response at all from anyone.

    Very disappointed and i will urge anyone booking who has any special needs to check details in full before confirmation. holiday in loret de mar, transport arrangements diabolical dropped off on main road with no istructions how to find hotel. told lift to all floors (not true). shower over bath no hook to hang it on not suitable for disabled person. Then direct line say 28 day to sort out complaint. still waiting for a result after 5.5 weeks

    This is my revue to the Best Maritim hotel in Cambrils, which my sister and I have just returned from.
    The booking made of ther internet with yourselves wwe cannoy fauly at all. You were most helpful in every way.
    The hotel however was terrible. Dust and fluff under the beds which looked as if it had been there all season. Furniture badly in need of being replaced. Food the worst we have had in all the 40 years we have been going on holiday. Everything was either lukewarm or coold.

    Made a booking last weekend, confirmed by phone that there was a 30km transfer distance from the airport to the hotel. Booked and got all paerwork though no problem.
    Sat down 2 days later to plan what we will do with our time, spotted a bit of an oddity, stating on the local tourist site stating that the airport was acually 62 kM from the town. Double check on Google Maps - the airport we wre booked into was over 300km from the hotel!

    This was my first time booking a main holiday online. I booked a 10 day family holiday to Mallorca about 6 weeks prior to departure with directline holidays. Emails for flight, transfer & hotel arrived on the day I booked. I was a bit concerned about how reliable transfer / hotel booking would be but I needn't have worried.     On booking, we were told that our hotel was 5 mins from the airport. It was. But not the airport we flew into - which was 2 1/2 hours away and cost us 200 quid each way. To make matters worse, when we called Directline Holidays to complain the operator told us that she was not to be blamed for our financial worries!!!

    We booked a holiday with Directline Holidays in Jan this year. It took 3 months to change the original flights to a different date and an extra £248 although we changed this the very next day. When we finanlly went on the holiday everything was all very well and good until we went to return home and discovered that they have given us the wrong flight information ( the wrong times on the tickets ) We arrived 13 hours too early for the flight.     booked two holidays with Directline Holidays, not been on either yet. First one booked no problem, i got my tickets in good time. So I can at least relax abit here.
    I tried to cancel one of the holidays after reading terrrible reviews

    I booked our holiday last night on the internet. I did call first to ask a couple of questions and the young lady was helpful and polite even though I called at the time they were about to finish work. I don't know why people are mentioning peak rate numbers, I called on a freephone number and their other numbers are normal landlines (0208 code) so I can't understand what's the problem? Even on the freephone number it tells you how long you'll be waiting in a queue and if you don't want to wait ...

    Fantastic site, really easy to use, much better than other sites I have been using to search for holidays, I will certainly be recommending it. Searching is much easier and enjoyable, I look forward to booking my holiday here soon.

    I booked a Holiday with Directline Holidays to Cuba next April, as it is our wedding anniversary I have booked a flight upgrade sitting together, obviously, and a room upgrade. We were told we would get written confirmation of our requirement, we have received confirmation but the detail is sketchy room upgrade (Yes) Flight upgrade (No mention) sitting together (No mention).     We booked a holiday and someone canceled the charge was £172.00 which we phoned to pay, we were then advised we had no money outstanding on the account and may they would contact us regarding a refund on money overpaid.     Having booked a holiday to Mexico in January 2008 to travel in January 2009, we received a letter saying our flight had been canceled and we had to now travel on a weekday rather than on a weekend - the sole reason we'd chosen to book that particular holiday. That was early March and I've since sent 3 emails, 2 letters and waited in a phone queue for hours at peak rate.     I have booked holiday yesterday and still waiting for any email as far as I am aware. I will tell more when I get my tickets and have experienced more but I find this process should be quicker and until I receive my tickets I do not recommend Directline Holidays.co.uk

    This site has package holidays and flights at pretty good prices. Also they have good descriptions of loads of holiday destinations, which I found particularly helpful.
