I clicked on "Yes" I would recommend it to a friend, cause of value for money and because Ididnt have any bad experience with this company myself, I flew with them twice. But I avoid travelling with them cause of so many bad reviews and it is obvious bad thing can happen any time, cancellations without prior notice etc. My flatmate travelled with them many times to Hungary, and she didnt have bad experiences.
I also booked a flight London-Zagreb for 9th October 09, which I wish to cancel. I just want to tell you my experience to be fair to wizz air, cause some people wrote when they called that they had been put on hold for an hour. I phoned them today to cancell my booking (still 16 days to departure, and cancellation policy states 14 days prior to departure) and they picked up immediately and told me the cancellation fee is more costly than my flight, cause total ticket cost is £78 and they charge cancellation fee £50 in each direction. So there....
I also told them that it was not my fault, cause the home office holding my passport, she said to write to Wizzair customer service and provide a document as a proof of my claim. I did write to them, and the document I need to ask first from Uk home office. We ll see how it goes, but that was the procedure for the cancellation. There s nothing one can do online, as customer service lady said herself, one needs to call them, thta s the only way. Still, I prefer to fly with easy jet, they seem more professional, and lot longer in business. I do beleive every one of those bad reviews though, sorry it happened to you! East european companies are just not up to west european companies level just yet! And there is nothing astonishing about that, it is just so!

Low cost airline so baggage etc is all extra. We were a bit late booking the flight so not as cheap as it could have been. I flew with my wife and 2 children. Online booking was easy enough, even added another bag and priority boarding a couple of days before - easy to do online.
Flights were great - both on time, planes newish and clean. Cabin crew pleasant. If you want to sit with your family/friends would recommend priority boarding, although make sure you wait in front of the check-in d ...- Read Guest's review (189 words)

Wizzair were the 1st company to offer a direct flight from London to Timisoara, so I applaud them for that. Have flown 3 times there this year, 1st 2 flights were fine, 3rd was a disaster, coming back to London. There was a "technical issue" with the aircraft, and this turned into a 6 hour delay. Turned out that they had to charter another plane from another airline to take us back. Very poor communication from the ground staff. Emailed the airline that took us back and actually had a reply from ...- Read Guest's review (139 words)

WizzAir leaves the traveler guessing about the policy / law with respect to traveling children. My niece and her parents were turned back at the airport, even though they had in their possession a notarized document to allow my niece to join our family on a vacation.
WizzAir lacked any means to advise the purchaser to be informed about what policy would need to be satisfied. We know recouping our damages will be a tough fight. Even if we do get our money back, our frustration and many others ...- Read Guest's review (105 words)

Ok I'll try and keep brief... I have booked a flight with Wizzair to Bourgas in Sept 09 for £233.I now cannot go and want to cancel the flight or change it to Katowics. Its £100 to cancel and £50 to make a change. The cost to book a new flight to Poland is £34, the cost of the flight if changed is £212 (plus £50 change fee) What and absolute rip off !!!!!! I also dont want to ring them up as judging by some of the comments on here this will again cost me a sm ...- Read Guest's review (115 words)

I give this airline NO STARS.
Our flight (11.7.09) was cancelled when we arrived at Luton airport from the north of England. We had not received any notification. Help desk (Aviance)uninterested and surly. Given a piece of paper and told to contact airline. Calls are expensive and it was hard to get through. Trouble accessing complaints department, still trying - Wizzair is the worst airline in the world and I would not advise anyone to even consider using it. Absolute rubbish and somet ...- Read Guest's review (99 words)

I sincerely advise you not to fly with this company. We had a multiple bad experience with Wizzair. Our flight from Budapest to Eindhoven on March 12th 2009 has a 6 hour delay. We were given no information about the reason for the delay and me and my husband suspected a technical problem. According to wizzair regulation we were entitled to rebook for another flight. But when we tried that, we have found out that we have to pay the other tickets ourselves. After coming home I have tried to get my ...- Read Guest's review (188 words)

First of all, you can save money by paying Wizzair through Bank Transfer. Problem is, there is no bank name anywhere on their site. How can you transfer money if there is no bank name?Secondly, when you finally google your day away searching for a number to reach the customer service from any other area than the listed, you get the worse customer service! They are rude and very confused. They will insist you need to pay even more money because the fare has changed even when you still have a valid ...- Read thetze's review (177 words)

Wizzair is a typical low cost company, so they don't offer anything on board, but you can buy something to drink or eat.
I travel twice with them: the first flight was perfectly in time, but the second one was 2 hours late because of a problem at the correspondent aircraft. They gave us a voucher to buying refreshments in the airport's restaurant (it was enough for a drink or a sandwich).- Read Guest's review (118 words)

Wizz Air do not deserve to survive. Lousy customer service!
Twice booked flights with Wizz Air Norway-Hungary (Return Flights). Both times Wizzair just cancels the flights, no reason given, and refunds only a fraction of paid fees. Calling them is one EuRO pr min, sending them e-mails results in a return message "Deleted without being opened".
My wife and I have tried several times to get somebody's attention within Wizzair Management, but toooooootal silence is the only response.

15 !!!! hour delay in Katowice Airport with WizzAir. No representative of the airline or the airport was available during our delay. I only saw 2 staff members who were doing their best to cope.Flight supposed to depart at 20:00. Finally departed at 10:30.Asked numerous staff throughout the airport for 2 telephone calls. NO-ONE would provide it. I kept getting passing to other staff members (gave up at 1am).Lenghty notices were given in Polish. Short brief ones were given in English. I had booked Wizz Air to attend a close friends wedding in Poland with my partner. After booking the flight I received an email from Wizz Air stating the outward bound flight had been rescheduled from early afternoon to early evening. As we were attending a rehearsal dinner we tried to find alternative flights but by that stage it was too expensive to book with anyone else. The outward flight was then delayed a further hour from the already 5 hour delay to the original schedule. We were extremel ...- Read pancinop's review (310 words)

First of all their areoplanes look awful. I am not pleased at all that they chosen to do so many flights from Luton which is one of my worst airports and one of the wost rated on this website. My rating would go up to 3 or 4 if they flew out from Stansted instead! Other reasons why It was so bad was because I found that the staff were not helpful in any way, the flights are not even worth the money and the food and comfort on the flight were poor. The flight was 35 minutes late leaving Luton (wh ...- Read Devildog's review (124 words)

I had booked a flight in May, that I was unable to take due to a family member passing away. I then tried to contact the customer relations department of Wizzair to get confirmation that I didn't take the flight. So I emailed them with all of the details, plus a copy of the death certificate. I heard nothing.
I then rang customer services, and they told me that there was no record of my details, and to email again - giving me another email address. I did so - again sending all the details. Anot ...- Read alanya1's review (269 words)

Wizzair have also cancelled our flights at least informing us by telephone. We were due to travel to Krakow from B'mouth. However when we tried to call, they said, could not put in writing, could not put through to a manager and would refund our money minus the bus transfers which we booked with them. When we emailed we got the same response, can not reply within 30 days, not hopeful of any refund, but paid by credit card, so should be protected.
Best of luck to any of you who book with them, t ...- Read Guest's review (118 words)

I had the worst experience with Wizz Air. On my flight across to Katowice I was delayed by 5 hours, spent a total of 12 hours in the airport waiting to board. Once on board the woman behind me kept kicking my chair, tried to ignore it till it became too much and told her to stop, she claimed it was me kicking my own chair. I am not the confrontational type so I tried to ignore her. Poland in general was a huge let down, very hard to find friendly people. When I came to leave my flight was cancel ...- Read Aust 's review (373 words and 1 comment)

On the 24th of May 2008 I booked return flights from Belfast to Katowice for my pregnant wife, 17-month-old child and I. We booked and paid for these seats online at a price of 294.86 GPB.
The outbound flight, Belfast to Katowice, Poland was uneventful however on our return date of the 24th of July 2008, like always I checked the internet in the event of flight delays as we had a two and a half hour journey to the airport, but could not see Wizzair flight W6 117 which was due to depart at 18:45 ...- Read Marcus911's review (513 words and 1 comment)
